I've always thought that there a lot of really crappy movies being released like viruses ensuing general stupidity and short attention span among the populace, but when I was slightly younger there also seemed to be slightly more/an even amount of good movies to offset the bad ones.

Lately, in my opinion, the tides have swung dramatically and there are barely any good movies at all, much less really good movies. On the other hand, maybe I'm just too judgemental, because I don't actually watch a lot of movies: I judge them based on the previews/teasers because for the most part I can tell from the commercial whether or not I would like the movie having watched the whole thing.

There's a few exceptions, though. A couple of movies I plan on seeing in theaters include AeonFlux (even though it's apparently yet another comic book-movie conversion), Syriana, the new Harry Potter movie, Jarhead (not exactly sure what it's about, but it looks interesting), and Good Night, And Good Luck.

I'd like to put a humongous emphasis on Syriana. If this movie is anywhere near as good as The Manchurian Candidate, then I'm going to love it. But it's from the same screenwriter who did Traffic, so I'm all but absolutly certain that it'll be even better.

I was just wondering if anybody else feels the same way I do. Conversate.

I say yes. Because the 90s (Besides 1999) had a bunch of rap movies and poverty which were just horrible. I like more recent movies then older movies.

I can say that I think that the 90s actually was better than the 20:th century films, now it's just the making of movies to gain money, and therefore it's hard to make a movie good enough.
You have to put in your soul into the work, or else it will never be a good movie.

No. In order for a movie to make money it needs to do well. There's more of a chance of losing a lot of money if you make a movie. And it's not like some rich kid like Paris Hilton decides on making a movie because they can. Only dedicated people who like movies make them. I'm not sure what movies you saw that gave you this idea.

i don't like that Special Effects/Computer Animation/Stupid blood & all this "killing" REPLACES

1.the talant the actor must have/the work he must put to it

2.the main idea of the moovie.

the last moovie i've seen that has a good idea in it is "NoMan's Land". stupid killing just makes me bored all the time.

once i watched a really good moovie & when it finished i turned on to other channel & saw Mr.Arnold shooting his enemys... an ironic smile appeard on my face.

ADDITION:
i vote that i liked the 90's better cuz it's closer to that age when all the listed above did not happen so much.
