They are considered shows for early teens -_-

I do not like the ones that drag on the plot over and over making it +100 episodes.
Well anyways, some of my favourite are Fullmetal Alchemist, Full Metal Panic, Black Cat and some others.
I never watch it in English because I hate the voices in it, doesn't seem right and yes they butcher everything. They are currently showing FMA on this TV channel that little kids watch so they cut out some blood scenes because the little kids might get traumatized.

Full Metal Panic is the shiz nit (No filter applied)
But hey man. It's america. We suck

I tried to watch Ghost in Shell, I might continue it later but it just got a bit boring. It has some good action but it is way too serious and has not many comical parts in it. It lacks the randomness of anime.

So you like the kid show animes eh?
Azamongadieo(SP) is the most random i've ever heard of. Try it

Although I rarely watch anime anymore, the ones I used to like were Cowboy Bebop and DBZ. Say what you will about DBZ, but the strong, confident main character helped me tremendously with getting over my little emo fits when I was 14 and 15, as well as inspire me to keep drawing (which I had really stopped caring about at the time). I can see DBZ's flaws clearly now, but nothing can change my fondness of it. On top of that, the manga is 100 times better than the show.

Bebop FTW! DBZ... So many childhood memories man. The Sayajiin Saga was the closest to DB (DB kicks all your asses) and you would have a sense of fear for the main char.. Until the Freeza saga -_-

Alot of anime sucks balls. Full Metal Alchemist and Inuyasha are to anime what bands like Green Day and Fall Out Boy are to music. Ghost In The Shell and Princess Mononoke are the only full fledged anime movies I've seen, and they were both excellent. Cowboy Bebop has such high standards, though it lacks any sort of large overbearing plot, it's still very good. Neon Genesis Evangelion is a mixed bunch for me, in the beginning it shifts abck and forth between the weak cliche anime stereotypes and situations, though it grows increasingly darker. I'm watching it on the platinum DVD, higher quality, restored audio/visuals, for teh win!

Actually, Full Metal Alchemist and Inuyasha (In their raw form) aren't even close to what you speak of. Cowboy Bebop has a plot you twit. Watch the WHOLE ANIME and you will understand the plot. Unless you're a thick-headed cock monkey. Neon Genesis Evangelion is a Psychology trip. Especially the last episode (My brain still hurts)
My most favorite (Sue me) is the original Gundum. Mobile Suit Gundum. It roxorz your soxorz. Anyways.
Berserk
Samuri Champloo
Ruroni Kenshin
Tenchi Muyo (f**k Universe and Tokyo. They are gay)
Fist Of The North Star
Studio Gibley/Gibly(SP) shows
Viper GTS is one kick ass Hentai
Lupin The 3rd
DBZ
DB
And many, many, many others I have forgotten
