If any of you have AOL/AIM/Trillian that connects to AIM, there is this stupid virus message running around. Since 90% of the people that use AIM know NOTHING about computers, this thing is spreading.. while talking to your buddy, you will receive something like this:
[Insert AOL screenname here]: hehe i promise it wasn't me [URL here]
The URL leads to a 89342984.jpg something file, and it prompts you to download a 2349.jpg.
exe. So, the morons that don't know anything about PCs (who don't know about downloading random .exes thinking it's a picture
) click it and open it. You get the virus, and automatically randomly send the message to your friends on AOL.
Has anyone else seen this? It's so pathetic, but it's a good virus spreading idea for all the computer knowledgeless people that use AIM
.
