Okay, thanks to everyone who helped with my last forum topic. Now I know for sure that I'm gonna use Invision Power Board. I'm getting it in about 2 weeks for my birthday. But now, I have a few questions:

1} About minerals. Was that done in PHP by Yoshi, or can that be done automatically?

2} Is the member map a PHP thing as well, or automatic?

If anyone can answer those for me, it'd be greatly appreciated, thnx

Modification. Try downloading from official IPB website, or an unofficial site containing them.

Since you're waiting for 2 weeks to get IPB, I'd suggest that you wait a little bit more and wait for Yoshi to release his first public beta of his own software.

From my Alpha testing, it's much simpler to use that Invision and Latova will be based on modules installed on a kernel and there's no need to have a forum to have a database, all module databases are one.

I'd also suggest that you search for Latova on google, simply because the site I go to is the Alpha site and guests don't have access.

Who are ya' talking to? Me, or Beer? I got it from Beer, who I imagine has been in touch with Yoshi. Naturally, I'm interested in this new project.

You can view the actual forums at http://www.latova.com/alpha/ The registrations are currently closed, so you can only see.

Never knew Yoshi was that good.. It does seem to be easier to use then Invision, I had heard that Invision is very hard to edit and other things like that.

Oh, and I would say that you should use PhpBB, not Invision. It's easy to set up, easy to modify, and very easy to create your own style for it. And it has everything most webmasters need.
