if it is legal, could some companies selling it in small amounts be created ?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mune'R0x on 2006-04-29 at 17:35:28
No. Didn't you read it? Selling it is still illegal. Posession of a certain amount isn't.[/NOTRIGHT]

oh, so that means they'll buy it in the US and then bring it back to mexico and they WONT get arrested for it? pinch.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by dumbducky on 2006-04-29 at 18:13:15
No, it means you can buy drugs. as long as you have under the allowed limit, they won't arrest you. They probably won't question how you got either.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by EviL on 2006-04-29 at 18:56:53
That's bad.. Lots of drugs seller will go there..
I don't think they care if they have more then legalized.. they just have to hide it
somewhere as they always do.. but now they can sell small amount without beeing
arrested.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mune'R0x on 2006-04-29 at 19:08:59
No... Selling it is still illegal. Possessing it isn't. They did this so the police could crack down on smuggling rather than just small charges.

Also, this will cut back on police corruption. When people were caught with small possesion charges they would often bribe the cops to get let off the hook. This will put an end to that in theory.

How else would you get the drugs without first buying it? They have to realize that if people start possesing drugs then they have to have gotten it from an illegal transaction.

*Sigh...*

QUOTE(THE NEWS ARTICLE THAT YOU DIDN'T READ)
Mexican law now leaves open the possibility of dropping charges against people caught with drugs if they are considered addicts and if "the amount is the quantity necessary for personal use." But the exemption isn't automatic.

The new bill drops the "addict" requirement — automatically allowing any "consumers" to have drugs — and sets out specific allowable quantities.

Sale of all drugs would remain illegal under the proposed law, unlike the Netherlands, where the sale of marijuana for medical use is legal and it can be bought with a prescription in pharmacies.

Okay?

But you all ignore what Don said:

That's true. Now they can concentrate on the smugglers instead of the pety ones.

So in all reality they're trying to stop drugs by letting people use them tongue.gif

Okay... I'm gonna quote Blue Streak...

"You're letting the littles ones go, so we can get the big ones"

Or whatever that guy played by Owen Wilson's brother said.

So you let the little offenders go so you can spend more time on the bigger ones. Know what I mean?

Yeah, I get it, it just seems a bit ironic. I don't know if that'll work though. I have a feeling it's going to increase the selling of drugs there instead.

not that easy. if you get caught on growing that you will get a big sentance, if you get caugh illegaly buying, the sentance will probably be not that big.

is the climate apropriate there ?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mune'R0x on 2006-04-30 at 14:25:27
Maybe he didn't realize that growing and then producing things is a bit harder. Coca plants are a bit hard to grow. And producing cocaine seems to be a lot harder.

Isn't that the reason why people have dealers? So they don't have to go through all that trouble of learning about drug manufacturing/cultivating... Blah blah blah...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Toothfariy on 2006-04-30 at 14:26:42
in mexico? no its possesion of a certin amount. so by growing your own they cant touch you unless you possess more then is allowed

you shuld grow it in a remote part of your neighbors yard so they will bust him not you
