You probably have a trigger that sets the HP to 100% because stim is hardcoded into the game and only way to change it, is through modding. Or you are using the Power Overwhelming cheat.

Even with power overwhelming it subtracts HP... it has to be set HP to 100%.

Power overwhelming doesn't subtract HP...

yea it's probably power overwhelming or set 100% . i can't think of any other way...

" Even with power overwhelming it subtracts HP"
Nope.
Wrong.
I've cheated enough to know.
And with 100% HPtrigger he'd either need to be VERY lucky or have had lots of lag and hyper triggers.
Very lucky so thatt the trigger activated RIGHT AS he stimmed, so it didn't show the HP or wireframe change, or lag and hyper triggers so that it doesn't bother to change and it's damn fast

Yea, you're right. Just like you can nuke your own units to death even with "power overwhelming" on...

I never tried that sounds interesting 'launches 7 nukes'.

I cheated my way through the single-player missions and I can tell you guys that EZDay2 is right. Test it for yourself if you're skeptical.

The best way to expliot it is this: (I saw a friends replay)

He had A small army supported by a cloaked ghost. The comp sent everything it had (which was like 400 units) at his army, and he turned on power overhwelming. His ghost launched a nuke and... BOOM! 450 units dead like that! *snaps finger*

Does this mean you can or can't nuke your units to death with P.O. on?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Nozomu on 2004-07-23 at 00:40:13
Apparently they can survive. Never tried it, though. I didn't think replays kept track of cheats?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by CheeZe on 2004-07-23 at 00:43:37
i don't think enemy nukes affect you but your own nukes do...I THINK i haven't used cheats for a long time ..and used nukes like that even longer ..dont' remember
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2004-07-23 at 00:45:18
Ok, let me make this clear. YOUR OWN UNITS DIE FROM YOUR NUKES WITH POWER OVERWHELMING ON! MY SECOND POST'S "450 UNITS DYING" INCLUDED HIS SMALL ARMY...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kow on 2004-07-23 at 07:25:18
did you kno that if you put P.O. on and thers 2 unallied comps... thay cant attack eachother?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Nemus on 2004-07-23 at 07:33:45
Yep. When i am supposed to clean my room i start up
(8)The Hunters, type in staying alive +black sheep, destroy
my own Nexus and send my units to the base with the first
soldiers created. Then i type P.O and shut of the screen.

When im done cleaning i turn on screen. TOTAL WAR

I take a guess who's gonna win and then i turn off P.O
i usally guess wrong but a hell lot of units die. cool1.gif

EDIT: Back to topic.. Strange how he could stim without
losing HP..-

Power overwhelming effect:
-Sets all unit's attack to 0 except your own units.

Just stick with that.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2004-07-23 at 13:15:49
Yes, but you have to be careful there, Clokr_. You can set attack to 0 using starforge, but it still does 1/2 hp damage.

I think we've missed the point of the post. This person claims he has created a map where stim pack does not take any life away. The most logical thing I can think of, is the units are invincible, and have so much HP that the wireframe doesnt change colors when Stim is used. Either that or he's just a lying idiot.

PS: Carnox you have some pretty imaginative ways of using StarCraft...

" Yes, but you have to be careful there, Clokr_. You can set attack to 0 using starforge, but it still does 1/2 hp damage. "
He means a LITERAL 0 damage, not a supposedly 0 damage.
Power Overwhelming turns off enemy damage.
Only you have damage. Thus, the only way for a computer to attack you is to use an instant kill spell such as Broodling.
The only problem is that the computer can damage your Protoss Shields, but not life... I think, been a while since I've been cheating through the campaigns.

Carnox im gonna try that and could some one show me map tht has units ussing stems using no health up.

I don't think any such map exists. The original poster of this thread hasn't been back here yet and he was probably making it up, or just too stupid to know what was really happening. I stand by my theory of the invincible units with high HP.

You know it's not very nice to go around insulting people like that... It could easily be a unit with enough hp not to change the wireframe and hp set to 100% being hypertriggered could easily make it appear not to cost life.

Why hasn't anyone asked to see the map? I would love to see it, even if it's protected.
