Ive had loads of people asking me what gothic life is about soo i think its about time that this is needed cause i cant be arsed to explain to everyone.

Facts :
No we dont cut are selves for fun thats only when you have had a really depressing day and just want to die for your own personnal pleasure.

Interests :
We all take an interest in dark books and most books these days hold sum freakin gothic stuff these days ive even bought a book on a ancient art of tortue.

Obvisouly we enjoy blowing our minds out with music (gothic style metal heavy rock)
We all wear black on days we feel moderately happy about who we are.
Just soo you know NOT all goths wear black.

Behaviour :
Most gothic people dont give a damn about others and just get on with everyone and not just other goths.
We mostly acted depressed and thinking of complete and utter discust for things.

Any questions you want to know about goths ill be happy to ansewer just as long as you dont have a mind like a scum and take the utter piss -.-

Your little poll there, is stupid. Maybe chopping yourself up and reading "Dark Books" makes you feel free, but not everyone.

what ever as you see there is a point to it as people will know what is better to be in life a free mind or a f**king scum -.-

I think I can have a free mind without being gothic at all.

Oxymoron? You do it for your personal pleasure but, it's not fun? If you want to die then fill your bathtub up and plug a toaster in and bring it with you into the tub. you're not getting attention from cutting your wrist. Maybe if you didn't do stuff like cutting your wrist people wouldn't make fun of you and ask you these questions which inturn makes yourself depressed.


You should try some better books. I like Dr. Suess myself. You should try a book like green eggs and ham.

If you dont like who you are then be one of the "normal" people with "limitations" maybe you wont feel so depressed.

How come you hate life, complain about who you are, and cut yourself. If you hate who you are you have two options : 1. Kill yourself 2. Try to be one of the "normal" people and try to have fun with life. Instead of living each day wanting to kill yourself.

You speak about an open mind yet you call us all scum for disagreeing with you. It can't be made more obvious.
Nor do you elaborate on even one "limitation" faced by normal people which do not restrict goths.

Open mind, eh? Can you go a single post without flaming those who disagree with you? Also, this conflicts with goths alegedly not careing about other people. If they didn't care about other people then they'd see no reason to get depressed, because other people wouldn't affect them. They also wouldn't flame those who disagree, you can only care more than argueing if you decide to go stabbing. Something, which of course, is done by goths.



I concur. I think I can even have a free-er mind by being lazy and sloth. And my mind being athletic and dressing in various colours that aren't black? Definantly free. If being monotonous in your daily routine is free, then cage me up.

So if you wear black on days when your moderately happy, what do you wear on days were your sad? I've never seen a goth not wear black.

One story buildings are the highest around? Sucks to be you.

Are you living a free enough life to have roman candle paintball fights? Or light yourself on fire and jump off your roof because you're bored? Do you strip random things becuase you're even to cheap for DIY stores? Do you try to invent new and exciting drugs? Do you ever drvie out to the country, simply to tip a cow? Do you ever build explosives? Do you grow/slaughter your own food? Do you beat up people smaller than you? Do you find the sexual perversions in Sesame Street? Do you give up when you initially fail? Do you take candy from strangers? Do you enjoy your own genitilia? Do you love the smell of gas, and can't stand those who don't? Do you talk big, or go home?

If you do these, then you may be living a free life.

I've got some questions.

Why are you depressed? Did someone big in your life die, did you lose everything? Or will mommy not buy you an IPod, and no one likes you?

Why do you cut yourself? A way to vent your pain, or just a stupid thing to try and get attention? And if you want so much to die, why don't you do it? In my mind, anyone who talks about it like they're going to do it, and wont, has no point in life.

And why are we scum? Last time I checked, society puts that label on you for being such tools. I'd say go with n20's options.

being gothic is not absence of limitations. gothic is just a style. ok, i'm listening to metal, but i don't say that listening to metal is absence of limitations.

I have nothing against Goths - I just don't think that their lifestyle is for me, and I feel that the social isolation which some of them complain about is largely their own doing.

However, I do take offence to the double-standards being displayed by the original poster. His blind rejection of 'normal' (definition please) life in favour of a Gothic lifestyle, and his denunciation of those who disagree with him as 'scum,' is amusing in its hypocrisy.

One question which has always bugged me about Goths is:

'How do you become a Goth, and why?' To me it seems a misguided attempt to escape conformity, which is apparently a dreadful thing. Find something that you can take pride in: academic talent, athletic ability, good looks, musical skill etc.

Actually, one thing that I don't like about Goths is their music. To me it's a load of crap. Both totally devoid of a recognisable tune and pretentious with it.

to become a goth you gotto be influenced by friends, i think. i got influenced & started playing guitar. basically the same princip. allthow i don't exclude other reasons.
