Took me a while to do, but I got it done. Hope everyone likes it.[attachmentid=18637]
Thanks for the template. Here you go PCFredZ, a bit more info.
This map was not intended for playing single player. Chances are, you won't win with only 2 people either, but it is possible, I've done it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Based on the novel written by Christopher Paolini. I'm not gonna write a paragraph explaining the plot, because the book is good and you should go read it.

Storyline / Introduction
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is an intro in the game that gives the plot. While it is lengthy, it's ok if you only watch it once or twice. Also, you can read the book for storyline.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Player Interface
You can be one of three characters, a marine (without stims) a zealot or a hydralisk. There are seven attainable levels, each has a new spell to go with it. Each level you gain 10% max health and a slight increase in mana regeneration. On level seven, you gain 100 maximum mana. The spells are fired by moving the spell unit out of its "box." If you hotkey them, you don't need to look to fire the spells. As your experience goes up, you level and gain minerals independantly. There are also numerous mineral bonuses scattered throught the map.
-What's new in your map that others have not done before?
The Heal for your characters is not a beacon, it is a spell. You need to conserve your mana just in case you get overwhelmed enough to die instead of running to a nearby town and getting a free heal.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Details
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Characters
•Eragon: Marine, 3k health, 98 base damage +3 attack ups. 4 armor.
•Saphira: Hydralisk (dragon in the book) 3k health, 78 base damage, +6 attack ups. 6 base armor. Includes speed and range ups.
•Brom: Zealot, 3k health, 144 base damage, +8 attack ups. 4 initial armor. Includes speed ups. Get's double armor upgrades to compensate for melee type.
-Weapons
•No weapon switching, but there would be if I still had EUD conditions to work with.
-Items
•No items.
-Spells
•6 unique spells per player. All players have level 1 spell as Heal.
Eragon:
•Evasion: simple hallucinations. Still useful.
•Burning Arrow: Dragoon with high attack.
•Shield: 4 second invincibility. Low mana cost.
•Multi-Arrow: Carrier with 8 interceptors.
•Longbow: Sieged tank with mad damage.
•Burning Sword: Eragon becomes equipped with a sword (Dark Templar) with extremely high damage. This spell isn't timed, it runs out when the dark templar dies then your marine is moved back to wherever it died. Enemies still see you.
Saphira:
•Fire Breath: Two firebats with fair damage. The firebats are tirgger induced to jump to units within range of saphira to make the spell more effective.
•Earth Ripple: 4 burrowed lurkers. Extremely usefull spell, seeing as lurkers get upgraded with hydralisk attack. (I didn't realise until after I made this spell that it was used before with the same name in another rpg. Sorry.)
•Freeze: Arbiter with stasis and a Corsair with Web. Some might say its not too great, but there are times when its dead useful.
•Lightning Strikes: You get 8 strikes / 100 mana. Whenever a unit comes in range, a strike blows it up. Its possible to accumulate strikes if you have enough mana.
•Blast: Every good game has big booms in it. This spell is one of my big booms. It kills units in Saphira's immediate vicinity and damages ones further out.
•Swarm: 20 broodlings that come out and eat up enemies.
Brom:
•Stun: Nifty trick with p12 triggers. Units surrounding brom will momentarily become docile, allowing him to run away or deal out death.
•Fury: Multiplies the zealot.
•Explosion: Everyone likes booms. This uses a dark swarm targeting spell and just blows stuff up.
•Mind Meld: Allows you to capture enemies and turn them to your control. They can be accumulated.
•Wind Blast: A fun spell. Gives brom invinvibility to prevent him from blowing himself up (but then enemies run from him) and uses a bunch of scarabs to blow stuff up.
•Wind Shield: An enable/disable invincibility spell coupled by exploding scarabs (just for effect) that enemies wont run from but it will prevent most damage.

Made with Showcase Template (keep this link to help propagate this template or you get smitten!)
I helped him test and it is definitely pro work

Follow some
simple steps and put a BIT more information about the map.
What country you in? I tried checking that book out in my school Library and they didnt have it yet.
How many pages is it!
Back to Topic:
Oooooh a rpg about my favorite book series. I will dl this map right now and play it! Im Tornac Vrael's friend, i guess I'm as good as any to answer your questions, I've played the map enough times.(I the guy who has beaten it with him with 2 players)
Eragon- 497(Perfection)
Eldest- 668(Lil longer less action still perfect)
If you looking for any books I'd try Booksamillion.com they have got a lot of stuff exspecially sci fi stuff, and fantasy.
I'm in the United States, and if you are in the U.S. I don't know why they wouldn't have it, the second book is already out and the first has been out for a few years.
Thanks a lot if you play it, and when your done tell me how it is. Also, the book has 497 pages.
This rpg is really good! My friends just get bored watching the intro/cutscenes

Very nice RPG, i played this solo and did it very easy too i might add, sure enemies were tough and hard to vs sometimes but if ya sat around awhile letting gas build up you would do alright. Spells were very easy to cast expect hotkeying alot of em. Cutscenes were nice, intro abit long. Good job on a nice RPG.
\\Moogle
a good RPG. all in all i would give it a 8/10 if i had to rate it.

To Moogle:
1st, thanks for the compliment.
2nd, did you beat it? I didn't think it was possible to beat it single player, at least not without cheating in the offline single player mode. The battle at end shouldnt be beatable with 1 player.
To all whom it concerns:
When I designed this map, I designed it more for people who read the books and would appreciate the map and the cutscenes I added into it. I tried to stay accurate to the book, which is why they are so long. So sorry if they're too long for you. The intro is skippable also, so even if it is long you really only need to watch it once. Thanks for the good feedback.
If you get any ideas on how to make it better, just post them here and I'll see what I can do (or message me, I'm Vrael on USEast server) . Don't expect a new version anytime soon though, I want a lot of feedback before I change anything. Hopefully I'll be able to bump this up to a 9/10 on Jammed's scale in a little while.
I was one of the first people to play this and the early version in my opinion was OKAY. 6/10 from old ver. but I'll try this right now.

This is looking so amazingly familliar to the version my friend Strike.X.Attack made that I thought you stole this from him. But, he had weapon switching through the use of different units. I'll play yours and decide which was better.
LOL DUCKY he is Strike.X.Attack lol and yes this version is wayyyy better then the old ones go play and spread it!!
OMG STRIKE WTF HAPPENED TO YOU? Its me bill_bill! You/zaph/ice disappeared for awhile. Where is everyone? I
No wonder it looked so familliar, I thought you stole it from yourself. I was gonna post the same version where you had your name as Strike and call you a theif but I couldn't find the right version.
I thought you would never finish it. I'll finish playing it over the weekend.
I'm playing it solo at the moment and it isn't extreemly hard, just sit around in the easy part until you are good enough to go to the harder parts. I must say that the cutscenes are great! The timing is perfect and the story certainly doesn't bore me (it's quite obvious it's from a book, btw

). The sneaking thing was a nice addition btw, nothing special but better then skipping it and say "let's go get the record -> hey I got it!".
The action is well, boring and the spawns and patrolling are NOT worked out good enough in my opinion. Also the terrain could have had some extra attention.
I don't see how its possible to win this alone, I can understand playing most of it alone, but durning the battle its almost too hard to beat with 2.
Mind you, I didn't finish it yet

.

lol give up there is a 20:00 timer on the battle near the end, and it is definitely impossible to beat without some kinda cheat, unless of course you have 3 players....and 2 is possible but hard. Also when you fight durza at the end....HE IS REALLY HARD, more armor then you have attack, the best way to win is....lol im not telling figure it out. But saphira is almost needed on him, b/c the heavy armor type.
I would definitely download and play this if I still played Starcraft. Looks very nice. You could have done weapon switching by using the hero versions of each unit; it's not hard and can be used the same way as a spell.
Ceneri, alas, I would have if there had only been EUD conditions still to work with. I have a previous version of the map that included just what you said, but every time you switched weapons, you got free life. The damage stayed on each weapon unit, but you still got free life when you switched between the two. If someone informs me of some method of detecting unit healths besides EUD conditions, please inform me and i might be able to add weapon switching to the map.
EUD conditions still exist. The values were just scrambled in the last patch. I don't know if anyone bothered to figure out the new values.
Oh yes.. the damage. Forgot about that. Sorry.
