Okay, I have a problem. Everytime I boot-up my computer I get about 10-15 popups all at once.

And I was wondering how I can fix this, and what I can use to fix this??

Either you erased a program lately which started in the loading phase of your pc and you did not erase it properly so it tries to run it but it doesn't find the .exe that is able to start it
- Or -
You have spyware, trojan or any other malicious code tongue.gif

EDIT:
Format C........ omg... spam.gif stupid.gif

Pop-ups? I'm assuming you're talking about Spyware/Adware pop-ups, not your programs.

http://www.staredit.net/index.php?act=Atta...e=post&id=18617

I uploaded that file for others earlier today. In fact, I'm going to add it into my sig. A lot of people are finding crap on their computer with it.

Also, try:
(IE required for this one, but it's WORTH IT.)

After those two, IF YOU'RE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS
download hijackthis:
and paste the log. Don't delete anything though, the list is basically your start up items.

Okay, this is getting insane! Nothing worked, Merrel. Does anyone have any clue on what I can do to get rid of this crap. It's pretty damn annoying.

Anything at all? Any good programs out there that I can use to get rid of this?

Oh God dude. i hate Popups...i had them until just three weeks ago
And before that, i got them in October 04!!!

and...wel...I have no idea how i got rid of them, i was Playing around in the Control panel at like 4 in the morning and i saw an Unfamiliar program, so i shut it off
and wala. there gone...wish i could be more helpful >_>

anyway, you should try Getting Ad-Aware and Spybot. that helps to get rid of it Too.

Ad-Aware? (the free one) thats what I use.

Or, if you are feeling more technical. Run -> msconfig -> Startup , then uncheck everything except igfxtray, hkcmd and tfswctrl. Write down the location of anything suspicious. Reboot into DOS (if you have windows ME or earlier) and type "del /F x" where x is the name is the name of each of the things that looked suspicious.

Disconnect from internet or erase your cookies

Thats impractical dinosaur, and most malicious programs causing pop ups do NOT reside in cookies, they hide out in other parts of your computer, most often in your windows system files.
