This question has been brought up a lot in my life - I dont really know why but I think it is because of the growing pressure that kids friends apply to them to do stuff at a young age. Also the stuff that is on tv or at the click of a mouse on the internet - kids are growing up way too fast!

Things only seem to be going downhill these days because we have been lying to ourselves less and less about the gritty stuff since the 1950s. But things have always been "bad". Or maybe its not really bad, that's just how it is. Since the dawn of man, tweeners have been banging eachother and getting banged by older people.
I voted "no". Although I may not like the idea that much, it is so normal and it has been this way for thousands of years. Maybe its not bad. I lost my virginity when I was 16, is that too young? Define "early age", please.

well 16 may not be too young - i am 15, 16 this week - its just people i know have had sex with older people when they were still in middle school, i feelthat i am mature enough to have sex, its just poeple that do it because they feel they have to, to be cool - and i think it is just getting out of control, people that are young and have sex often are people that i am talking about

Kids are not growing up too fast -- quite the opposite. The mass media of today bolsters immaturity levels in most Americans well into their late teens and early twenties. It's disgusting.

Well, Yes...and no. Sometimes its abit early, i knew this kid back last year (i was 12, he was 12, she was 12. yeah..) and they said they we're having Sex, i dunno if its true to tihs day but...i do think 12 is ABIT young to have sex...i think 16 or 17 should be the Age requirement. =P

I think people should do it when they want to.
If that's 12, and they think they're ready, and they don't have a kid, okay.

Most girls are ready way before that! Its true that some pressure may be involved, but girls are applying some of these pressures! Some girls are more than ready by the time highschool starts and some arent, some dont have sex till there past highschool, but I think most of them are ready at too young of an age, I think that the age will keep getting lower. Well it depends.. I believe 17 and higher is alright. I think some people don't have choices like in Africa and such. But everyone wants to experiement which makes it worse. Grade 8 and 7 doing nasty things.. Stupid kids.

It has nothing to do with age, I know girls who have gotten their period at age 9 and others at 16. Trust me, even though a lot of people say it, sex is not a joke. Mostly, it is a state of pleasure for the mind.
