Could there really be a perfect crime? Almost anything we do will leave at least some evidence. Burning would leave chemical residue, thumbprints, the design on your shoe, the bullet you shoot, DNA, etc. I've seen titles like "The Perfect Crime" numerous times, but could it really be perfect? Can you think of the perfect crime?
Wear boots and gloves and heavy clothing on a cold day. Cover every part of your body. Wear a viel over your face so no one knows what's your race or ethincy.
Then, find a country store. Rob them.

It takes time for police to arrive at a country store. What I mean is store where there's barely anything there.
Get in your getaway car. Have a 5 fake license plates and 1 real on a rotator that rotates to a new license every time you want to.
EDIT: Wear clown shoes. xD
Clown shoes would be rather unique, and quite easy to trace.
we cant tell you a perfect crime because it's obviously not perfect if we told you
NEVER drive your getaway car (even if tags are replaced) after the crime. Dump it somewhere remote and move out.

To murder someone:
Dress in a full spandex suit so only your eyes are visible. Buy some bullets. Shoot them, and relod them VIA your own methods. While in your full spandex suit of course. Buy a gun illegally, then walla. Perfect murder.
Not about evidence.
Its about how much power and money you have.
Poor man could get convicted with something as small as a footprint.
Wealthy man could get set free with as much as fingerprints. Needa good laywer, and no concious

This may seem random, but think about the time. In day, a person in complete a complete spandex suit would stand out, while at night it would. During the day, you would be able to shoot at somebody easier than at night because of the noise. At night, the noise would project out to all the other houses. Of course, you could buy a silencer, which are easy to track.
Or you could take a pillow, and hold it up to the gun, its nearly as effective.
You have to be smarter than the people detecting it. I have seen people come close, but they made it way too obvious to thoes around them.
And nobody knows what I did. Oh, no.
Has anyone ever heard of the murder of JonBenet Ramsey? That was a PERFECT CRIME. No one was convicted of anything.

Totally true; however, now i believe perfect crime cannot be possible. Back in the days yea sure it was possible if you just tried hard enough.
Withs all the technology CSI and the FBI and New York have, you cant really get away with anything.

Hmmm... I wonder how much they cost...
I was plotting this. Plant a bomb, and set it for 5 years to detonate! Muahahaha.
George W. Bush. has commited the perfect crime.
i think the perfect crime is a myth.
Build your own bullets. That way, they can't trace the serial number.
Snipe the person an unlikely place. Don't go ariborne because they know about every aircraft in air. Don't go on top of a building because it's obvious.
The best place would be form a car, and then go away. The angle of the bullet would make it seem like if you were standing there on the pavement, and thus start looking for physical evidence. Since you're wearing a full suit in which no part of you is exposed, there's nothing to find.
It's preferably to shoot from a tall car with some sort of modification to change the height. This way, if they won't trace your car because you changed back to original height.
The wheels used should be disposed of and changed to ones of a different brand, bought previously several months before. Also cover up your engine, oil spills can cause a problem because they can trace different chemical compounds to different products.
The only problem would be a witness seeing your license plate, which you would've changed and disposed of.
You should also leave the state, to one which is farther away and has no connection to you or the victim.

You should also leave the state...

just leaving the state will be like saying "i'm afraid of something". make up a reason to leave the state before you kill your victim, so everybody will say "nah, he wanted to leave the state years ago before the assasination".
but still, i think you will have to leave something, becawse even to get your equipment you gotto buy it somewhere. it means that somebody can notice you buying something that could help you to commit this crime.
Or, get a 50 caliber sniper rifle, get in a position 1 mile from the target, once there there, shoot em =) and then .... the rest is yours
I think it's possible to get away clean with no evidence whats so ever.. If you know how they find evidence and how they find you, you work with that to get around it. The things that you MUST know is the consequence behind every action you make as well as know what they are going to be looking for after the crime is committed. If you know 100% fully that information, i mean 100%, as in you study the scheme for years if needed to, its possible to have the perfect crime. IMO, nothing's impossible.
Throw yourself over the niagara falls, that's the perfect crime.
@ the moving issue. Move prior to the killing, like a year or so before, so noone suspects you.
A dead man can't be convicted.
