i must say that RP stands for ROLE PLAYING so if you put that in a game it must have ROLEPLAYING as to just killing stuff and following objectives.
I agree! When it say _____ RPG you usally just run around get lvls! Thats why i like RPs more!
ROFL. Thats funny moose. Yeah I can see were a map like that would be stupid.

Point taken. But then what
would you call the games where you just run around and shoot people.
Action/Adventure/Hero Maps/Killfests are some names that come to mind.
I'm making an Rpg that has characters that actually talk, objectives that change as you progress, and an interesting story. I think mine counts as an Rpg.

I think you guys should get used to the fact that the term RPG has grown to encompass a broader range of maps than it needs to. I mean, who cares? It's just a label.
Hmm I like playing RPs there fun but eat time and there is only a few good RPGs like faith and destiny that one is a good RPG you dont just go around and kill cause thet have a battle system.

It doesn't matter if you're just following objectives and killing stuff, if you're playing a role, you're roleplaying. Even if you're playing the role of a guy who just swings a sword, you are roleplaying.
Define Role PLaying appartently everyone on B.net thinks that Rping is a subtitute for FINAL FANTASY!
Yes Final Fantasy is an RPG but they had Urban RP which was still an rp just wanted to make that clear because not all games are about Swords and Staffs with mana
Right, Urban Rp is an Rp. In which, the entire purpose of the game is Rping. The point is that games labeled as Rpg's don't contain roleplaying. On any realistic level atleast.

Well, that's what I'm planning in my so-far unamed-Rpg. New, cool, revolutionary maps: That's what SEN's for anyways!
This reminds me of Space Pirates Rpg, it was a perfectly good rpg with talking characters, a developed storyline, and some humor too.
But then ppl started hating it just because number 2 was a bit sucky. ( and because they sucked at it too XD.)
RPG... Role Playing Game... A game where you play a role...
All it is, is a game where you put yourself into the player's shoes, and pretend YOu are the one in the game
Nothing more, nothing less..
Yea, i said it had a developed storyline, you play a member of a group trying to destroy a large enemy base.

And speaking of which, I RARELY see a FF map on bnet, so you cant judge bnet from a few bad seeds you happened to meet. But then again, with all the zero clutter and moneymaps out there...
