Tried making a cool little map of mine, but two things.

1.) Floor trap machine guns always have 50/whatever health, no matter what I change.
2.) Under "HP" in the Unit and Hero settings, there are two boxes....what is this?

Thanks in advance guys.

The smaller box is a byte that has some weird effects on HP values. Normally it is 0. If it is non-zero, that unit's HP will start out one greater than its max. For example, a marine will have 41/40 HP when it starts. It also has some weird effects on the unit's wireframe, especially when the unit has a low HP to start. It can make zerg wireframes glow if the unit has about 10 HP max or less. A lot of people have favorite values to put in there, but all the testing that I've done shows that it doesn't matter what value you pick, only zero vs non-zero.

Oooookay, that helps a bit. The guns, however, still are weird. Guys?

Ah...I should have caught this the first time.
It seems that you are dealing with unit-sprites, and not actual units. The traps would be unit-sprites if they were placed in the doodad layer of SE or any of its variants. Unit-sprites always have the default HP out of whatever the map settings maximum is. In this case, it's 50/whatever you set it to. To fix this, just delete the sprites on the map and replace them with actual units.

Ah. That kinda sucks, since there is so many I need to replace. Thanks though!
