Um... What about for mac? The only mac editors out there are Emerald and a patch for StarEdit known as StarFire (functions same as Starcraft Extra Editor)

So is there a way to stack minerals using a mac?

Wait for SCMDraft Mac.

Make sure when you use Starforge set it to snap to grid that way it is exactly in the same place!

If you dont then it will look sloppy!

Please don't try to make melee maps with stacked minerals or else you shall be shunned by every melee map making community across the world tongue.gif

SCMDRAFT > Starforge in every way!

It could go either way,

I for one, like using StarForge, but I did enjoy using SCMDraft when I did but as of right now I am using StarForge!

The only real thing SF has over SCMD is the custom brush.

Starforge is really annoying to use... especially if ur making stacked minerals...
it slows down (even on my watercooled, Dual P4, 512Graphics and VB6 with all SF files) Besides, everytime i save with it, it usually crashes... sad.gif

And with SCMD2 it has tons of more features, easier to use, etc...

StarCraft X-tra Editor has "Special Mode" where you can stack units. (Even though it doesn't look like it if their directly stacked).

use scmdraft2?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mp)7-7 on 2006-05-19 at 12:16:28
Special Mode on X-tra places the right next to each other not directly on top, I would use either StarForge or SCMDarft and then snap to grid and stack like crazy.

Use Starforge
Use SCMDraft
Use Xtra Editor [NOT BASE]

In these editors you can stack anything

XTRA EDITOR DOESN'T STACK!!!!!!!!!

Every unit (except for one of the beacons, depending on your version) takes up on little tiny square, meaning they cannot be placed directly on top of each other.

just use xtra editor. sure scm draft and starforge can do that and more but it seems like your new to the map making scene. stick with xtra

What's nice about StarForge is that you can right click the minerals and press Stack, then choose how many you want to stack; a feature that does not exist SCM Draft.

Unless you're making UMS, which requires Briefings and Triggers.

Otherwise yeah, I'm inclined to agree with you 100%. biggrin.gif

Classic Trigedit = problem solved.

I tried using SCMDraft's Trigger Editor under Plugins...I wrote the triggers and such (properly, I just modified ones the map already had and I wrote the changes properly), and it didn't save them, even though I saved the map.

I only use StarForge for Triggers and Briefings. SCMDraft is too awesome in every other way.

I think they should make a new version of SCMDraft which uses a Trig/Brief editor much like StarEdit (i.e. like a Wizard format), but has all of StarForge's "advanced" stuff like official Campaign AI Scripts, etc.

Why X-Tra Edit doesnt stack:

1) even when using special mode, i wont let you stick more than one unit in that tiny square

2) Almost every other mode wont let you

3) X-Tra Edit is somewhat bugged

EDIT: Oh nevermind. i guess i thought stack as something different from you guys!
