Hi...I'm hoping you can really solve this problem i got, i'm pretty much ruined the way i am right now...
Here are the problems...
1. I open the stardat.mpq or any other mpq, extract a grp, open retro grp write the bmps edit them and then compile them again and get them into a mpq and use mpqdraft to load that mpq and play it. but when i go in game, it does nothing...the unit it's still like the original
and...i sent the mpq to other people and no body could see any changes although when they extracted the grp they saw the changes and no the extention is not wrong....
2. i open memgraft ( i did the same thing with 1.11b and 1.13e) select the terran advanced buildings add two diferent buttons (yes it now shows two "Terran Marine") i do everything right with the first one to get it to build a new building and the second button i added it's the cancel, then i erase the old one
i change the requirements and everything set the mpq to mod.mpq ..in other words.. i do everything right.. i make the copy of the mpq named mod and the exe, mgd save them as mod too..i add the mgd file to custom\ and then rename it (i hate that i have to rename it by the way) and now it says custom\mgpatch.mgd
now when i run the exe it says it's not there..when it is.., and i did the same thing with the other mpqs too...and nothing works.
3. dat editing doesn't work too...i simple modify the marine's hp to 2000 and shields to 100 and yes i check the box, add that .dat file to the mpq as arr\units.dat and run the mpq and does nothing...
the only thing i haven't tested yet it's iscripting...i'm going to go do that now
Yes, i CAN run other mods i've made and YES i CAN play other people's mod
and if you ask me...i have done everything exactly like the pinned tutorial says...like 17 times..just today..
