Ok here's the deal
I want to change the victory background image of the Protoss, the one with a Zealot inside a spaceship looking at the player with Aiur behind.
I replaced it correctly with a new .pcx image, 640x480 and 8bpp
The image, when showing the score, shows correctly.
But, BUT, the score shows all wrong! The text. images and just everything except the background image is color screwed!
Does it have anything to do with the fact that there is a different Score Window for each victory and defeat screen?
Or perhaps it's related to the color palette, since my image has a lot of purple?

Thanks in advance.

PD: the files are located at "glue\PalPv\"

No! I only replaced the default image for a new one.

Yeah, but that image needs to use the same pallete as the old one.

Using IrfanView, you can export the palette of the original picture and load it into the replacement.

And make it look like a PCX mess. tongue.gif

You can also convert the PCX to 8-bit (256 Color) BMP then use MSPaint and paste the image on top. MSPaint usually will match colors to the palette pretty good.

MSpaint is can not make changing palette as u wish
that make colors set with oneĀ“s own way

so u would be better use with GIMP , GIMP is very facultifull image Software
and that is totally Free Software

in using Gimp , first just make new images or open that u wanted StarCraft images into Gimp layout

and just change with technique and skills whatever u want

and finally make colors pallette as same to StarCraft origianal images

if u want to how can make that with Gimp? then just follow my tutorial
what pinned thread and written by me just here...

http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopic=27808

there is a way to make images as correctly to each format

I'm not saying MSPaint changes the palette, I'm saying its pretty good at matching colors to the image's palette.
