Ive heard from a reliable source and many of my mates that peter jackson could be planning to make a film on Halo.
Popular video game when the first 1 came out and since the second people have been going mad on it.
If this rumour is true we could be in for a awesome film.

Don't decide that it will be good due to he directs it. The director of alien/s/3/4 was the director of doom and it didn't turn out as great as expected. Honestly, if the rock plays as badly of a sarge in doom as a master chief, the movie will suck.

well as how well he did on his other film i dont see why not but you are right in apects that he could take the film into another 1 it wasnt intened to.

The casting for The Lord of the Rings was incredible, and the casting for King Kong was pretty good. I don't consider "The Rock" a particularly strong actor, even though he has proven (in some cases) to be decent. I do expect, however, that Peter Jackson will get the right men and women for the job. And, I'm pretty sure this isn't a rumor. I hear it's been confirmed.

damn it, i hate peter jackson, if he has anything to do with the Halo movie, they are gonna have to rename that into Peter Jackson's: Halo the movie and it will be a 3 year long movie, like King Kong....yes 3 years

afterwards, they will have to rename Halo 3 into:

Peter Jackson's: Game where a Spartan named Master Chief goes around the Universe killing Covenant Aliens and destroying Halos: The Official Game of the Movie

which will suck, in short, i dislike Peter Jackson, and that will definately hurt the Halo Movie if it will be as long/longer than King Kong because people in a fast paced world like this do NOT have time to sit around for 3+ hours watching a movie

I guess if King Kong is the only movie of his you've seen... which I'm guessing it is, that's ok. If it's not, you're weird.

this movie should be good, i mean the special effects from LOTR and King Kong were especially good, but i agree, it shouldn't be 3 hours long

dude i love movies, like Cinderella Man, Swordfish, The Matrix, V for Vendetta, The Ringer, Anchorman, Dodgeball, Waiting..., i could continue on and on

its just that its true, just imagine how many more people wouldve gone and seen King Kong if they had the time to, if it had been 2 hours long instead of 3, more movie theaters are located in more populated places, statistics show in more populated places, like the Northern states, everything works at a faster pace than Southern states for example, people down there are more laid back while everyone up here is high strung and always in a rush

not really, its proven, most people believe its because of the much warmer weather, that it takes more energy to do things

sterotyping would be calling all southerners hicks and all northerners smart, white collared workers, etc, which i did not do, i said that generally, southern people are more laid back and dont work at an excessive pace as northerners

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
The reason it says "Peter Jackson's" in King Kong is because there's more than one version and since he directed it they added his name onto it. Not because he's a publicity taking up whore. And I've never heard of anyone HAVING to see a movie so they have to fit it it. You see a movie when you have a lot of free time and spend it seeing a movie, it's not like something you have to do, then there's no point if you can't enjoy it. And there haven't been any complaints about how they couldn't see King Kong because it was 3 hours. And if you've seen the movie almost everything is needed, I think there's a park scene at the end which was sort of unnessarcy but it was only like 6 minutes long anyway.

And he's only the executive producer which means if something looks like crap, he can correct it and make it look better. He's also dedicated, for the LOTR films he read the books 3 times, and for King Kong he watched the old ones hundreds of times. And now he'll be talking with Bungie and playing/analyzing the plot for a while. Also take into consideration how he didn't write the script, someone else did.

lol well since lotr did soo bloody well i dont see why halo will not be the same unless as i said takes into the wrong direction.

there have been plenty of remakes where people did not add in their names:, The Dukes of Hazzard and Helter Skelter, both the 50s version of Helter, i believe and the 2000 version go under the same name, those are the only ones i know off the top of my head, i recently saw Poseiden, and i know that that is the 2nd or 3rd remake,

i believe under the same name, anyway, i dislike Peter Jackson, i don't care who knows it, i am entititled to my opinion, just as you are to think i am wrong, im not gonna sit here and argue with you about why you think im wrong, it is like a halo fan arguing against someone who says halo is just hyped and that the games actually suck,

people like Peter Jackson, ok, whatever, people hate halo, ok, whatever, it is their opinion and they dont have to argue it and neither do it, my belief: Peter Jackson is not the greatest thing to happen to movies, my mental dislike of him will hurt how i percieve the halo movie, thats it, nothing else

oh, i heard from a friend it was the 2nd + remake, shes really psychotic about movies and i tend to believe what she says, honestly tell her almost any movie and she can tell you what year its from

If halo is 3 hours long, I won't mind. Just as long as it has pure ass kicking the entire movie. I mean, time flies when you're having fun.
