It will probably be good seeing as the second one was still good then the third will hopefully be good. Usually if the second one is bad then the others will be bad. Name is a bit cheesy but what can we do...

Went to see it last night at midnight, its a lot of fun, and has several really awesome scenes, but doesn't quite have the same awesomeness as a whole.
Oh, and the secret scene after the credits is awesome.

I liked the chess scene. wink.gif

I do think it's the best out of the three because the others are so... boring.

(Spoilers may be in this post)
Ugh I knew I should've stayed till the end of credits!!
I have to say that X3 comes in 2nd from all the movies. X2 was a lot better, this movie had a lot of problems. There were a lot of characters but some were barley touched on, and some had way too much screen time. For instance the people that need more scenes or screen time:
Pyro, Shadowcat, Iceman, Rouge, Angel, Xaiver, Mystique, Beast, and Colusus.
The people who had way too much screen time and should've been cut out:
The two henchmen of Magneto (Shockwave and Needle guy), Wolverine, and Jean Grey.

I think that Magneto and Storm got the right amount of time they needed, the rest was too little or two much overall making a very disappointing film. And I hate how like 8 characters die in the movie (Or are "cured") espically how most of those were in the first few minutes Xaiver, Mystique, and Cyclops (Though I hate Cyclops they didn't have to kill him so early). I think overall the movie went in a way too hollywood like direction, with cheesy stuff like Wolverine and Jean Grey relationship was more sickening that gripping.

Average film, i'll still buy it on DVD but X2 overall was a lot better.

Just saw the movie today as well. I felt that Dark Phoenix could have been done SO much better. They should have included Apocalypse sad.gif

Awesomest scene ever = When Mystique gets hit by the anti-mutant dart. happy.gif

Alright, coming back from seeing it on Saturday, i have to say

i AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

this movie is God Awful, this is like a laughing stock of the movie business, Honestly. this movie is HORRIBLE. this is definately a Rent out movie

Lets list the things of Horribly stupid and retarded things in it:

for one, Juggernaut says "IM THE JUGGERNAUT, biznatch" what the Fark? what is this with internet trends in Movies? that pretty much ruined the movie there

For two, it doesnt follow the X Men story AT ALL. And How the fark can professor X and Cyclops die? This is RETARDED.

For Three, it showed every X men character for 2 minutes at a Time, Which REALLY Pissed me off.

For Four, it didnt have apocalypse, Enough said.

For Five, Cheesy one-liners at Every Corner

For Six, the Movie was just plain BORING to watch, the fighting wasnt even allt hat great

If i had to rate this movie, i'd give it a Solid 1. cause this is a freaking Laughingstock.

Well, Professor X didn't necessarily die. If you watched after the credits, you would've known that. Besides that, I must agree. These were the problems:
-J. Grey seemed to become evil for no reason, the phoenix thing seemed to come out of nowhere. Yes, I'm aware it is in the comics, but it entered the movie so abruptly.
-Professor X seemed to become angry with everybody.
-Professor X only said "Control the power, don't let the power control you!"
-The fights were really repetitive.
-Was boring.
-Not much happened.
-The twists at the end make the title of the movie seem false.
-Lots of holes in the movie.
Simply enough, this movie isn't worth buying when it comes out on VHS/DVD. It's only good to watch when you have nothing better to do.

At the end of X2, you see the Phoenix.
X was angry because he knew the potential of Grey.
Uh, so?
Sure.
No it wasn't.
A lot happened.
Apparently you don't know how to make people come back for more.
Holes? More like messups.
Sure.

A single line ruined a movie? You're jsut being stupid, it's great that you hate the movie but think of something better please.

The first 2 x-men didn't either. Professor X didn't really die, and no one likes Cyclops but if you want to know why he died there's 2 reasons you can take which one you like more:
-The actor is also in the new Superman Returns movie and actually suggested for his character to be killed off.
-However, due to Halle Berry saying that she would no return to the movie if her role storm did not have a bigger part, Cyclops was killed 20 mintues into the movie. Which I agree with, Storm is a main character, she's rarely used though. In fact Rouge and Iceman had more screentime in X2 than Storm.

WTF?
If you're talking about lack of screen time for most characters (Angel, Pyro, Mystique) than I'd agree with you there.

THe only thing cheesy I can remember is the entire ending of the movie, I don't remember any one liners... at all.
QUOTE
For Six, the Movie was just plain BORING to watch, the fighting wasnt even allt hat great

There are four fight scenes in both X-Men and X2 COMBINED. There were three "fights" in X3 (The opening, Jean's House, The Ending, one of which was really cool)

And guys in case you haven't noticed this isn't the last X-Men both Patrick Stewart and Halle Berry (AKA the hardest people to sign on for another movie) have said on record that they are looking forward to another sequel. Also they never fought the huge Purple Like Robots that terminate mutants in the comic books, so that'd defently be the last movie. And with two cliff hangers (Magneto, and Xaiver) at the end of the movie, they can't leave it ended with loose ends. Yeah a lot of cool characters were killed off, but if you saw Magneto move the chess piece that probably means that the effect is not permenent (Or at least the darts are not).

So you might immdietly think the next movie would suck. But think about who got killed off and who's left. Jean's dead (For good) so no cheesy hollywood "I LOVE YOU" bullcrap, Mystique is dead which sucks, but leaves more room for new people to come in, and more airtime for Pyro and Juggernat, Rouge the most useless character in the movie lost her powers. But there are still awesome people like Shadowcat, Iceman, Angel, Beast, Storm, and Wolverine. So it's not that bad.

As a last note yeah, if your not a comic book fan the Pheniox storyline is really confusing. But if you liked X2 you should've done research of what you saw at the end of the lake. So everyone should know what it is.

I didn't think Mystique was dead, I thought she was just 'cured'. And the cure didn't seem to work so well on Magneto...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Golden-Fist on 2006-05-30 at 17:29:44
Yeah she's not, when I say dead. Losing their powers, they might as well be dead. With Magneto, that'd go to the part where I said the cure doesn't last forever when using the darts. It would've really proved my point if they showed Mystique at the end, but whatever. Just a thought, i'm sure they'll explain it.

I know at the end it showed the Phoenix, but I would expect it to build up.

Professor X wasn't just angry with Jean, but just with the other main characters in general.

It gets annoying when a character says the same thing over and over.

I didn't see much substance in the movie, thus it made it quite boring for me.

I know how twists make people come back for more. It's just that the title of the movie is X-Men III: The Last Stand. You'd expect that this movie would be the last one, especially since it has the word, last, in it.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Voyager7456(MM) on 2006-05-30 at 19:06:28
Originally it was supposed to be the last movie. However, since most of the actors are willing to do another one, who knows...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Golden-Fist on 2006-05-30 at 20:43:36
They never fought the purple mutant killing robots!! They need to fight those before the series is over. And in hollywood, as long as it's a success another one will be made.

you are obsessed with sentinels aren't you golden-fist? Anyways that would be consistant of with the storyline in the movies, but they would be hard to make since they are so detailed and huge. In truth, I would like to see a movie with mojo in it (he just looks crazy!) but the storyline in the movies probably wouldn't allow that sad.gif .

Gambit == Pwnage.
Sentinals. And yes, they did. They fought them in the simulation room.

If you noticed, Leech cured Beast while he was by him, but after walking away from him, he went back.

To me, that's forshadowing the fact that the cure isn't forever.

.....Look at Gollum in LOTR. They wouldn't have a problem making Sentinals.

Apocolypes and Mr. Sinister are two main enemies they have left out.. illegitimate childs. (I called the creators of the movie illegitimate childs, I swear on my life. The filter made it sound like I was flaming sad.gif )
