If there are aliens, from another solar system, or whatever, what will they look like? Will they be those green things with big heads, or will they look similar to humans. If there are aliens, will they be more scientifically and generally advanced than us, or unintelligent creatures. And finally, will they have the same customs as us, or will they be they be different.

I think that aliens do exist, and that they will be much more intelligent than us. I think they'll look similar to us, and I think their life would be similar to ours.

They can be anything, as it's likely if we finds aliens the first won't be liek us, but many planets later we may find some similar.

The idea that we're the only intelligent life in the entire universe is just insane to me. My science teacher says that they'd look a lot like us or have the same traits. Unless if they somehow get mesmer powers and build stuff with they're minds they'd have to evole over time and learn to grip things (Hands) and breath etc. But you never know what kind of crazy life there could be.

A single cell organism from another planet can be defined as ailen. So don't think that aliens must be advanced and intelligent, they migh turn out to be the opposite.

so what, i read a history book about this women getting abducted by aliens in UFO's (unidentified flying objects) and the husband witnessed it, another story was that a guy in 1968 saw aliens looking at a farm and these flying screw bulbs around the farm, this might be fact or fiction, never know!

Most alien/UFO sightings are fraud. Like I saw a picture and you can tell its just a frisbee thrown over a camra facing the sky.

I don't belive in them, i don't think they exsist. It just doesn't seem real at all. I belive that someone famous was high and made it up. This stuff used to scare me but it's nothing anymore..

In a magazine that I get there was something about aliens. Over parts of the world red rain has been falling, there are only like two things on earth that could cause this, but they are not sure how they would be able to make it red, and many people believe that it is aliens causing this. I dont really know how they would look. All the movie people who make movies about aliens are totally wrong. You see they put the two eyes on top of the nose that is on top of the mouth. That is how everything is on earth, but on mars or some other planet it may be switched around a little. Like it could have the mouth at the top or something, just because we are used to it on earth doesnt mean aliens look exactly like us. I believe aliens exist too, I jst hope that we are more advanced (technological wize) then they are, or like in the movie War of the Worlds, birds will save our asses!

I was reading an abduction story once. The victim asked the alien why he was doing this. The alien simply replied "Why not?".

That sounds just a TAD faked.

Do aliens exist in general? We don't know, we might never know.

The alien stories/sightings? Nope, don't believe in any of that stuff at all. UFO sightings could easily be faked and all the abduction stories can easily be bsed as well.

If there are millions of planets in the galaxy and beyond then there has to be some life forms. I hope there isn't though.

If the aliens are so smart & progressive to get here, they must be progressive enough not to leave any trace or memory.

look at the odds that they dont, there are over trillions of stars and perhaps planets in the solar system. what would the odd's be that Earth is the only planet capable to sustain life?

however, we never do know. we probaly wont ever know.

i have a theory though,

Mars has evidense that it once had water. Water is essicential to life.

My theory is that Marsins landed on earth because mars was being depleted just like earth will. They crash landed a massive ship on earth that in turn left a giant crater and destroyed the dinosaurs. the marsians killed anything remaining on land so they could thrive. their langeuage was forgotten as they went back to their primal instincts. many of them became sacluded from one another and langeuge was changed. they soon became who the human race is today.

does that sound wack to you? thats what i think. marsians evolved into humans. so you could say they we are all from mars. I do belive that aliens created the humans.

Your theory is flawed. If we came from space and made ships then we would've had intelligence a while ago. And if we crash landed we wouldn't suddenly forget everything, and start figuring out crap like FIRE IS HOT!! WHEEL IS ROUND RAWR RAWR. We'd still have a language, and we'd have to have some kind of trait from outerspace which has never been discovered, I can't think of an example, smaller ears? Meh. Though it's nice to dream
I think in our solar system we have two moons that have life capablities. That moon that I can't recall the name of around juipter that is completely ice and water. And that Triton (Or Titan I get them mixed up) around Saturn that has an atmosphere.

in the landing, our technology was destroyed. few things remained but decomposed over the time from then to now.

That was just the men. The women came from venus.

The aliens in WotW were killed by Earthling disease that they were unprotected against, then were eaten by birds AFTER they were dead. It was the last thing in the movie, the narrorator talking about it. And it was explained much better in the book, which was W-A-Y better than the movie anyway.

Back to the topic:

Let's say aliens exist. What will they look like? To answer this question, just look at the variety of life on Earth. First of all, most of it is not animals. Second of all, most of those animals are tiny invertebrates, and only a handfull of the small or large ones are intellegent. Only a few species(Otters, primates, octopi, ants) can use tools. Only on species(humans) have "advanced" technology. Given this pattern, the odds of alien life on just one other planet being intellegent are pretty small.

About the appearence of aliens, let us look again at life on our own world. Pine trees, octopi, rhinoserous, virus, bacterium, human, poison ivy, slug, mushroom, flounder, et cetera. What do they all have in common. NOTHING. The odds are that no alien will look anything like us, especially since their evolution and ours did not involve together and took place on different planets. Since this is a StarCraft forum, I will just say that Zerg are far more realistic than Protoss, and the Beneglass is about impossible.

That's all assuming aliens exist, of course.

We'd still have intelligence though, language, and everything we use to have. If you put a human in the desert he still knows how to make a wheel, that fire is hot, and 2+2 is 4. Whether or not his stuff was destroyed doesn't make a difference. We would've found a new way to build stuff from other materials. And I doubt an entire civlization of stuff could've been destoryed in a single crash, there would have to be ruins somewhere.

I think they'd have the decenty and time to tell them of the past. And that still brings up the point that there'd have to be some kind of big ship ruins on the planet. Your theory is nice but it isn't practical.

They say curiousity killed the cat but humans have incredible curiousity themselves, especally when it comes to other living things. You watch them,chart thier movements. Try to figure out what makes say, a rabbit a rabbit.

Of course we assume we are the only ones doing the watching, but what if sombody else, perhaps something else is keeping track of us. Studying us, trying to figure out what makes a person, well a person.
