Since I am for more strict moderation than there is today, here's my idea about increasing warn levels:
If you have 0% warn & 0 verbal warns, you are totally innocent.
To get 20% warn, you must get 4 verbal warns
To get 40% warn, you must get 3 more verbal wanrs
To get 60% warn, you must get 2 more verbal warns
From 60% to 80% needs 1 more verbal warn
80%-100% allso 1 verbal warn.
So there is no situation like this: member N has like 50 verbal warns for things that are too small to be a reason for a warn level increase.
A verbal warning is a verbal warning. Which means, you get off the hook and should learn from it. If not, then you will get warned. Four verbal warns is too much. Pointless idea.
Right now, I think members get one verbal warn (if it's a minor offense), and then get a warn level raise after that.
I think verbal warns should be 5% or 10% warn.
Yeah, four warns if overkill. They should just be suspended in that case.
No, we don't moderate by such rigid rules. Our moderation is more fluent and changes with the situation. Rigid rules edge open room for loopholes and complaints.
Flexible rules are better capable of adapting to different situations.
Liquid moderation also adds to excitment, and lets the mods be hilarious and break the rules whenever they want to to be hilarious. Spam isn't spam, as it were.

Yep. If you get one, and if you do it again, it makes us even more mad.
What about major offenses? If posting "F**k you Moose" deserves 20%, you're dreaming.

There could be a mathematical formula for minor and major offenses?
I see no need to change the system already in place.
Nor do I foresee anyone getting 50 verbal warnings and 2 warn increases - repeated minor offenses are already grounds for a warn level increase.
Ok, this was not such a good idea ater all.
