To my knowledge, the ONLY advanced editor ever made for a Mac is that one version of the Emerald Patch. NONE of the popular files including SC X-tra, StarForge, SCM Draft 2, ProEdit.. the list goes on, NONE of these come in a Mac version and there is virtually no way they ever will.

Starcraft doesn't have high system requirements. You can get a "Staredit Computer" for 50 bucks max.

actually I'm almost positive SI is going to make SCMDraft 2 work on Macs, or at least try.

In that case SI is my hero. I love him even more now. SCM Draft 2 is the best thing ever and if we can get these creepy mac users into the map making business, that's a whole new group of people with a whole new set of ideas.

I still have a Windows 95 computer that can run it. It's probably worth five dollars.

I think you misunderstand the value of a computer with Windows 95. You see, Windows 95 is a terrible operating system. No one would pay you five dollars for a computer with Windows 95, the work involved is just too much. It is more likely that you would have to pay them 20 dollars to take it from you. Unfortunately, the cute, lovely, and homosexual world of mac users (according to pennyarcade anyway) has made anyone living in it soft to the core. Few Windows users would dare stand up to the challenge of removing Windows 95 and installing a new operating system on an ancient system. To say that a Mac user should do this is ludacris, he would censored.gif his pants and die where he stands the instant the first "Blue Screen of Death" appeared.

Windows 95 is way better than windows XP!!!

All of you are incorrect. There are tons of Macintosh Programs that are basically unknown to the general map making public. You can find them at http://customs.hyberia.com . There is an X-Tra editor in there, but it's the base file, not the executable (.app) file. If you want, I could turn the base file into an executable and e-mail it to you. That way you have your mini-version of X-Tra Editor, but I personally prefer Staredit Emerald. Just drop me your e-mail at my PM Box and I'll love to send you the editor.

Hehe, makes me laugh.
I got Windows XP Profesional customized.
My dad updated evrything and changed a lot of things in the OPSystem, it's better than the normal XP, normal XP is worth thing microsoft ever made.
That's why i liked my old 98 SE, oh well at least my XP is decent and not horrible.

400 dollars for what a 98 SE? I think it's worth much less unless it has pretty good ram, CPU and stuff.

I recomend that you all XP users update it as soon as possible.

I assume that you meant to say Windows XP is the WORST thing Microsoft ever made, not the "worth". Of course that's still so unimaginably stupid that I am cursing you continuously to Heck even as I write this. Windows XP is a good operating system with few bugs, the only problems now are with Viruses. Windows XP isn't the only program susceptible to viruses, everything is. I'm amazed there hasn't been more deadly problems. Also, if any other company were leading the market, they would be attacked just as much, and would have the same problems Microsoft has. It's taken a long time to get to Windows XP, and it's finally a working operating system and I'm happy with it.

Also, if you own a computer, you're rich enough to buy more RAM. You can get RAM incredibly cheap from Tiger direct.

EDIT: Here's a run down of a conversation I had with Clokr_ on MSN:

"it stores by default lots of censored.gif for restore because it thinks that you have a 120GB harddisk"

First of all, it stores the information on a secondary hard drive, and the feature can be turned off easily in System Settings.

"I like the square windows, are more profesional"

You can revert to the Standard Windows look in seconds by right clicking the desktop.

"IE crashes lots of times for me"

Spyware issues.

"some games dont work"

I asked him to name some examples, he couldn't. Even if he's telling the truth, I had the same problem, but it's not Windows XP. The fast paced gaming world of today requires terribly powerful graphics cards, and onboard system video of something like 8mb isn't going to cut it... I bought a 128mb Radeon graphics card, everything runs smooth.

Well, I can name some games. MM7 and MM8 both ran on my Windows 98 but when I got Windows XP they would get to the Loading screen and close down, I don't know if it was just the Windows XP or the new video card i got (GeForce 5200)

to continue a bit on teh subject of XP, everything as large as XP must have bugs. no software, that is over 10 lines is bug free. and with as much coding as it is with XP, you try to even eliminate a bit of them.
Microsoft's price policy is something i dont like though. too expensive for the way they profit from software and how much it is really worth.
this is ot but Linux kicks ass with new Athlon64. and by christmas theyll be cheap enough for me to consider getting an Athlon64!
