I was just kind of wondering what the minerals are for, and as an after thought how do you go up in levels? I hate being a newbie.

You go up in rank by the number of posts you have.

Minerals, for me are only usefull for the glowy name...

Look at Yoshi's same in a forum then look at your's, you'll notice a difference if your not color blind.
