Hi. I need help. I'm trying to make a bound. But when I try to make the dark archons appear then die, they don't die. The trigger is:
Conditions-
'ob1' is set.
Actions-
Create 1 dark archon for player 8 (that's the comp) at da1
Kill all any unit for all players at da1
Wait for 100 milliseconds.
so on and on until da12.
preserve trigger.
they appear. but don't die. Why is that????
Simple as this.
Conditions:
- Switch 1 Set (ob1)
Actions
- Create X unit at location X
- Kill all units owned by all players at location x
- wait X
- Create X unit at location X
- Kill all units owned by all players at location x
- wait X
- Preserve Trigger
I did that. but it doesn't work.
No, u did any unit i did all players.
if you read it. it says kill all any unit for all players
check your trigger again. Then check to make sure you have all the elivations checked on the location.
are your Hyper triggers in the right place: below the triggers w/ waits
So they don't have a pause after each loop of the obsticals.
what pause? I have never encoutered a bound map without hyper triggers having problems because it was "slow"...actually, most of them ran just as fast as those with hyper triggers.
Try replacing "Any Unit" with "Dark Archon." Better to be more specific so Starcraft knows exactly what you are talking about.
Sort of like it's better to say "I went to K-Mart" instead of "I went to the store" because then the person you are talking to doesn't know which store.
If all else fails, maybe we should look at the map itself, if you wouldn't mind. You could PM me a download link or send it to my e-mail (StardogProd@Netscape.net) I would love to have a lookie.
you must not know what hyper triggers do then cheese.
Well the, please show me a bound map where hyper triggers are useful. No sucking traps, because obviously, those require it.
It's useful in any bound map where you don't want a 2 game second wait between each trigger execution. Or for maps where you touch something and die. Without hypers, the location doesn't center fast enough, nor do the triggers get checked fast enough, so chances are you can run right through.

Umm, then only the dark archons would die, not the zerglings. And you claim to be advanced...

I'm not a bound expert but maybe try for the conditions kil all archon at "location" and then have another saying kill all "lings" for force1 or watever force the players are in.
make sure the comp is in the force u specified.

GOD BLAST IT! THis thread is old, so the problem is probabally alredy solved. Also, the above trigger is correct and does not need fixing. My only guess is to do as Bolt said and check the elevations and positioning of locations. *sigh* so many stupidly revived and stupid topics I wish I could lock...
