tuxedo is doing something similar with his Rush map...only difference is his map actually looks good. dude put more work into this or close the topic. if you need help dont hesitate to ask

Someone move this to under developments please.
I tried it the day after posting this and the thing was bearly playable. blushing.gif
It'll take some time to fix all the stuff in it...that is the stuff I know why they're not working.
The fixes are in my head, and by estimate, it ll take a few days.
Since a lot of triggers seam to be broken for no apparent reason, (I followed the tutorial and what people told me when I asked for help.) I'm thinking of removing some triggers on auto-stuff like kill all mines when you have no units, I can just have some beacon with "kill units" on it. tongue.gif

Requirements are quite low.

dude, next time, test your map BEFORE you release it. on another note, like, make it better, asthetically and gameplay-wise, if i just wanted to shoot guns at another team, i'd play melee.

Atleast he's finishing a map. I'd suggest really getting a better layout. Do more isometric terrain before shifting to rectangular. I could help you out in the terrain department, but gameplay wise, you're gonna be by yourself. My main qualm with what you're doing: You're not doing anything another map hasn't done already. It's important to remember that people (atleast, people who aren't idiots) want to play something new. Try using a dropship inventory system. Instead of having different units, perhaps the same unit for each player with different skills. The key thing is balancing simplicity with complexity, and your map is just exceedingly simple.

I definitely thought FPS meant "frames per second" instead of "first person shooter" the entire time I was reading this. Too much Diablo II sad.gif

Always thoroughly test and balance before releasing a game.. and if it is a BETA, it shoudl still be in maps in production, always. Stuff in Map Showcase should always be polished. That said, I think we can say that this map isn't "released" yet (someone move it to maps in productions), and we can give advice from an objective standpoint as the map is not done.

And the terrain and everything is a little huge, too. Makes it boring. Simple ideas are fine, but simple ideas need to go hand in hand with fast gameplay and games. You can actually have the terrain effectively be that size, just.. not so open and bland. I'm sure in the end it'll be sweet, though.
