If SEN broke the rules of Google Ad rules by talking about it, and we don't have ads anymore. Then why do we still have that akward gap in between the first and second post of all topics?

I was going to make this thread, but you beat me to it smile.gif There have already been several complaints, why hasn't anything been done?

I'm using FF, and I see nothing. When I used IE, however, I see it...

Maybe they are in the process of getting new adds?

I heard that with FireFox its a "sexy black space", so maybe that's why you don't see it.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2006-06-03 at 14:45:30
Apparently, it's a black space in firefox, and a black space with a white page fragment in IE. I have a hunch the ad space was never removed after the ad service was cancelled.

And what's happening with our ad in the top right?

No more Firefox ad? Then we might want to remove the text mellow.gif

Pretty much.
I'm just making it more clear for IP and Moose that they should delete it.

I was wondering why there was a black space. Before when it just started with the ads I could see them under the first post but then later it just turned black and I sort of ignored it. I don't care that much if it is removed since I got used to it but it would look better if it was.

The ad in the top right was done a long time ago wasn't it?

In Firefox the picture in the top right is just blank and shows the nice background, but in Internet Explorer its an ugly white block where the picture was for downloading Firefox!

Is it true that Firefox users cannot see when people have glowing names? Why are there differences between these, do they read the html different or something.

Once I was on my laptop using Internet Explorer where everything was centered, then on my desktop using Firefox everything was aligned left? Why is this?

What is better to use for the site, I like firefox and internet explorer but on my laptop I only have internet explorer downloaded and it works fine and on my desktop it has both internet expolorer and firefox but internet explorer has a lot of issues like unexpectadly quiting and all that fun jazz. I got used to Firefox but then I got my laptop and have been using Internet Explorer but which one shows the best effects on sen, because I always wanted to download firefox but wasnt sure now because I always wanted to get a glowing name too! crazy.gif

What should I do?

Glowing names don't work on FireFox.

FireFox is better overall. You can still get a glowing name you just won't be able to see it.

SEN looks best in Firefox.

As does everything else. wink.gif

Trust me, you get used to not seeing the flashy names (to be honest, I forget SEN had them). It's so much cooler. smile.gif

Also, with Firefox, I had those ads blocked with an extension so I don't see any black space at all. smile.gif

Is SEN v5 going to fix this or will this always going to be a problem, because if sen looks better in firefox i'll probably go with that but I like seeing the glowing names!

RexyRex - you have a glowing name!

Question. When you buy the glowing thingy, does it cost 2000 for just one color or can you change it whenever? Or does it cost like 100 to change colors?

Here IP talks about what he has been doing.

SEN looks infinitely better in Firefox; I went on using IE to investigate and practically barfed. Who needs glowing names anyway? I suppose they're about all you can do with minerals.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Rantent on 2006-06-04 at 02:06:00
People need a glowing name to remind themselves that they once thought all the cool people had them.

I think we should bring back the little thing in the top right showing who was in the channel.

SEN used to have a feature to show who is in op sen? Hey thats cool! smile.gif

the guy who was doing the coding for that doesnt update it anymore.
so were screwed without it.

So I guess the question is: Are the spaces to be removed?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mp)7-7 on 2006-06-04 at 09:19:44
I think their should be more things that you can buy with minerals at the store, Only being able to buy things that you can do with your names is pretty boring especially that people using FIerefox cant see them. Any ideas?
