I've been having trouble with self-running cwad executable mods. The instructions say
- open the file
- click ok
- right-click on the starcraft icon and choose edit
- browse for your starcraft.exe file
- then double-click on the starcraft icon
when i press ok then edit browse for my sc exe file in my sc folder, then double click the sc icon from mod, a series of messages show up ;
>Blocking code failed to initialize -- windows nt users will see problems (i use xp) i click ok
>next it says PatchOpenFileEx()Failed (i press ok)
>next it says PatchCLoseFile()Failed (i press ok)
>next it says PatchGetFileSize()Failed (i press ok)
>next it says Error: STORM.DLL version not supported! You may see malfunctions. (presses ok...)
Long message: Starcraft was unable to open a required file. If this problem persists, try uninstalling and installing starcraft using the program setup.exe on the starcraft cd rom...
The problem occured while trying to loading a file front/front.gid the program cannot fined the file specified.
Is it because i have the wrong version for this mod? if i do can some1 help me find a way to have 2 versions of sc, 1 for my mods and one for online?

First make sure u have the right SC version that the mod requires..

I used to get that problem when I tried to use StarDraft...
