Staredit Network -> Modding Assistance -> Mod Keeps Crashing
Report, edit, etc...Posted by XrPLeon on 2006-06-04 at 18:27:36
Alright, My mod keeps crashing when I start a game with zergs in it (Just before you get to see anything, bam crash.) .But only zergs, limiting it to something about the zerg that keeps happening at the start of the game (I was testing on melee).
I looked through the overlord. I changed its sprite to scourge, but didn't do anything else. Worked fine the first time, so I don't think this is the cause unless
I may have changed scourges and then forgotten about them.

Drones? I gave it energy, but I think that's all.

Hatchery? Didn't touch it.

Larvae? Well I set them to fly but I don't think that's it either.

I'm posting my MPQ, so if anyone could examine it for me, that would help. (feel free to play with terran and protoss happy.gif )

Did you change the Zerg units' iscript?

one would think so.

Edit:

I found your problem! your iscript file is corrupted. i'm going to test it now.

Edit:

Just checked it, your iscript.bin file is definately the problem. it works fine without it.

Did you use ICE or IceCC?

If you used ICE, re-writing the same Iscript might work cause ICE might have caused a random corruption.

If you used IceCC, re-writing the same iscript won't work because it isn't a corruption, it's a programming mistake. tongue.gif

No, it wasnt an error, the actual iscript file was corrupted. Not even IceCC could open it.
