I'm blending two things that have different amounts of rotation frames, and I figure it'll be easier to just rotate my first one. However, I'm putting this on a base, and I have as of yet found no way to rotate the picture so when I paste it in (with pain) it will remain rotated. Can anyone help?

I don't understand what you're saying very well, but from what I can understand heres the steps:
1. create 2 seperate grp's for each of the files, preferably using a unused slot
2. create a iscript making the main graphic turn
3. create a seperate iscript for the other graphic, include the followmaingraphic opcode in the init part of the iscript
4. enter a command in the main iscript to call the seperate iscript to run as a overlay or underlay (like imgol08)

Are you saying I only need to make the one frame, then the iscript can make the turret turn??? I didn't think that was possible. But I don't really know much about iscript, and I was going to get Voy to help me, maybe I'll ask him...

ADD: And the actual question was: Is there any way to rotate a picture by about 10.5 degrees? And if so, how tongue.gif

that ur problem is classic problem of only 2d image editings
the units what turned images with 17 degree are have to creat picture
every turned figure cuzz 2d image could't make different each viewpoint

So many Advanced Graphic Artist use 3d software

but if u couldn't work with 3d then probably u have to get Advanced image tools
such as Photoshop,Paintshop,GIMP or good featured tools

in a word, u might be work hard manual when creat pictures of turned units with use just 2d image editor

but that was best way for artisan spirit

I'm saying you need to make all the turning frames and such in the same position as they where in the main graphic,
then leave either idle frames, or blank frames in the rest of the slots to prevent a crash

tongue.gif I read that before you added the last part. That's why I didn't see it. But still, is there any way to make it rotate? I've only found I can rotate in increments (omg its a big word) of 90 degrees.

I don't understand how to make that work...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Pie_Sniper on 2006-06-07 at 20:17:09
Just make a selection, click on the icon, and click on the image and move the mouse around (or type the degrees in the box that comes up).
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Killer_Kow(MM) on 2006-06-07 at 20:29:43
But it automatically selects everything, even if i try clicking the little box that says "selection only" or w/e, and then when I'm done it doesn't do anything.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Pie_Sniper on 2006-06-07 at 20:45:18
That's strange... It only rotates my selection for me. Are you sure you have the latest version? And, don't check rotate selection, that will just rotate what the selection encompasses, not the stuff inside the selection.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by nirvanajung on 2006-06-07 at 21:00:30
i guess u didn't figured out GIMP interface and responsed visual not yet
Also basic notion of 2d graphics
As far as i remember.. that selection doesn't matter versions

never mind ....that just my guessing

both are same thing cuzz if want unit image rotate, frames of grp have to
contained 17 each digrees
Also those pictures of frames would be nice to looks like turn viewpoint
that's matter of his problem

So, he's saying was about how to make picture of each turned form

Just to clear this up...

The question: How do you rotate an image freely using GIMP or Paint?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by TERRAINFIGHTER on 2006-06-08 at 16:11:36
you can't with paint, but I don't know about GIMP

the way I sugguest doing it is by using photoshop instead, but pictures don't look as good after rotating them tongue.gif
