Staredit Network -> SCMDraft -> Crashing - Reasons?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Pyro_Maniak14 on 2006-06-12 at 16:46:56
I was just using SCMDraft2 and placing a bunch of sprites and effects in the top left corner of the map to see what they look like and how the terrain affected their look, then the Trigedit message appeared.

Trigedit
Something bad happened, do you want to save as a diagnostic file?
[Yes] [No]

I always choose no because whenever I choose yes and save something, I never find it. Is there any specific reason or cause for it to crash?

I get that sometimes but I click yes and it works for me again without a problem until I mess it up again

You mean you click yes and whatever you did on your map was saved?

I have the same problem too. Good to know I'm not the only one.

It happens to me at the most unexpected times, so I have it autosave every couple minutes or so.

First of all, where did you get a version so low? The lowest I've ever gotten was either 0.2.5 or 0.3.0, I've never even seen a download for 0.2 anywhere.

Second, get the latest version. It rarely crashes on me and its features work 99.9% correctly every time (I say not 100 because nothing is invulnerable to bugs and also because of its automatic string recycling not being understood by SCXE).
