Beh. Easy. Find the extra space around central rectangle, square root of 1.5 squared minus 1.4 square and square root of 1.6 squared minus 1.4 squared to find the lengths around it, find area of rectangle, and find remainder. 1.4 x square root of 1.6 squared minus 1.4 squared divided by two is area of one remaining triangle, and 1.4 times root of 1.5 squared minus 1.4 squared divided by two is area of 2nd triangle. Add areas of the two triangles and rectangle.

How do I find how long the extra space is? If I could do that it would be easy...

I edited and revised above. Should be full.

You draw a line from bottom right angle straight up to make the triangle, and pythegorean's theorum to find the space of the unknown leg. Then line straight down from top left and do the same thing. And add that to the area of the rectangle. 2 triangles + rectangle.

The way you wrote it confuses me... Wouldn't "square root of 1.5 squared" just be 1.5?

Bah. Square root of 1.5 squared minus 1.4 squared. Pythagorean's theorum.

OH! Pathagorem's theorm... Alright, thanks. I totally forgot all about that tongue.gif Thanks man.
