Staredit Network -> Miscellaneous -> In need of help!
Report, edit, etc...Posted by slayer766 on 2006-06-15 at 01:28:14
Alright fellow StareditNetworktians, I ask of any of you people who have a great imagination to help me and a friend out. Since we are working on making an RPG (Writing it in C/C+) we are in dire need of thinking of any type of Quests for a medieval type of RPG. Kinda like Ultima V, or Dungeons & Dragons type RPG. So if any of you can help out by thinking of some great and detailed quests we would be very grateful and you would be placed in our credits.

Thank you very much.

I know... you could require the player to find 3 crystals that will give him a powerful boost of strength!

Really though, um, you could have the characters help one of the townfolk get laid and he'll give you something sweet in return. The challenge will be convincing the girl you find to go with you. Don't see that too often in RPGs, do you?

Convince a terrorist to sell you nukes without dieing.
Blow some important building up without dieing.
Have sex... without dieing.
Slaughter 100 people in less than 5 minutes without dieing.

Just make them as graphic as possible. smile.gif

Heheh, actually the first one was supposed to be the bad one. Gathering magic crystals is beyond generic, IMO. But helping other characters get laid? That's different!

(to Doodan, yes gathering magic crystals is overused, but only because its awsome! tongue.gif)

The evil half-ogres from the wintry North(Protoss) are going to invade. They cannot survive in this land without it being cold, so that have taken one of the world's three(Khalis/Kaydarin/Uraj) most powerful ancient talismans, the Ice Crystal, to freeze over the rest of the world so they can invade.

You are like, the chosen one or something, and a seer at the High Temple tells you that to stop the half-ogres, the three Crystals of Power must be gathered at an ancient shrine in the High Temple

The first crystal you must gather is the Fire Crystal. You embark on a long adventure across the land to reach the Fire Temple in the <name of region.> The natives of that area are the Flamebloods, and their leader lives in the Fire Temple. He tells you that he will give you the Fire Crystal only if you can retrieve a sacred relic from the bowels of a nearby cave. The relic was stolen from the Fire Temple by smugglers to sell on the black market.

Once you defeat the smugglers and take the relic, you must return it to the Flameblood king. In return, he gives you the Fire Crystal.

You go back to the High Temple to report your success to the seer. He places the talisman on one corner of a large triangle carved into the stone floor of the High Temple, and tells you to retrieve the Crystal of Balance from the king of the Elves. You go to <where elves live> and, after going through a long sting of quests, are allowed to speak to the Elven king.

This king tells you that the Crystal of Balance is an important royal symbol to the Elves; he will only let a member of his own family even see it. You think about it for a bit, then decide that not only is his daughter hot and wealthy, but getting her to marry you may also convince him to let you take the Crystal.

ADDITION:
WTF? It cut of a bunch of my post! I am NOT writing that over agian.

Doesnt this belong in freelance.

Well before it does what about.

The king has a problem. There is a horse eating ogre and he has hired heros like you. He wants you to grab the ogres house and bring it back to the castle. After the ogre relise his sandwhich is in the house the heros must battle untill the ogres falls into a pit of molten hot cheese.

Or

Theres a shark in mini_mooses bathtub. But the only way to get rid of it is to fight it medieval style and use soap in its butt.

There's always the great FF7 quest:

Try to dress up as a girl as convincingly possible to get into bed with some greasy bald fat guy, so you can try to interogate him for information.

I got another:

You're a cop with a strong Austrian accent who must pass as a kindergarden teacher in order to prevent the kidnapping of the son of a divorced lunatic. You get to say funny stuff like "It's not a tu-mah!" along the way.
