Staredit Network -> StarCraft Editing Related -> Map protection ?

Im making a huge map (lots of work and time to get it finished) and the thought of someone stealing it may make to play it LAN only with my friends that i trust. Im really against cheating. Fair play should be the only way to play, eaven in the game of "real life".

So is there any protectors what will do the trick at the moment ?
Or are they really all usuless because of unprotectors ?

There is only one unprotector you have to worry about and very few people have it.

So Uberation3 is the best ?
Iv heard about ProEdit, but this i think this is older than Uberation versions.

Is it possible to use multiple protectors ? (so that the game will still be playeable ofcause)

Uberation 3 can still be unprotected by the program. I use Uberation 2.0.0.6 even though it can be unprotected. I just have some special ways with triggers to prevent people from unprotecting the map.

I know you may not want to reveal your methods to the publick, but can you PM me those ? If you look my signature and click the link... you see on what map i will use it. Thats all.

I would like to note that Osmap has been downloaded about 294 times.
Many of those downloads were from people against unprotection testing it. Osmap will also fail to work for some people if they lack certain runtime files.

Its basically gotton about as popular as SCU and SCU really didn't do crap to the community.

Threat? Extremely Low. I would say if you refuse to release a map due to Osmap your a fool.

I got Osmap its practically public at some site. I only dled to find ways to protect my maps. So far It can open any map and this got me pissed lol. Just add some fake useless triggers everywhere to confuse whoever is trying to open it. I dont know why anyone would steal a map ranting.gif . But anyways unprotection is not really available which Is why I suggest once you finish your map to add hunders if not thousands of fake triggers (copy the trigger) like tuxedo templar does lol.

crazy.gif Fake triggers may really piss off some users who try to hunt for ideas with "trigger viewer". This may eaven lead them to seek for an unprotector.

But the unprotector is actually the reason to add confusing triggers. So i think im going to do it for the public version. Thanks for the idea.

Sometimes people dont eaven steal a map, but they modify it and add their name like "modified by". I dont like this to be done with my map - i hate all those SUB versions of different maps. It has to be so, that the guys who want new things in it tell me what they want. And then i can add some names who gave me new ideas and helped with creating the triggers.
