I have a map that i am making and i copied the stacking trigger from a map that i know works. The game is compatible with normal SC except for the stacking triggers. However the map that i copied the triggers from can be played in normal SC. Any ideas?

You probably changed something in the trigger that made it BW.
Might be a condition like Player X brings X unit to Lights/Whatever.

The unit you might be using is in BW, and cannot be used in normal SC.

When you save a map, it will dispplay a message why it can't be played with other versions, read and post that message(usually might be evry long) and then we can tell you wahts wrong, unless you didn't figure it out when you read that message.

the reason it says that it is broodwar is :

BroodWar AI Script: Execute AI Script Turn On Shared Vision Player 1-8
Execute AI Script Turn Off Shared Vision Player 1-8

This is directly off a map that i have played in normal SC and i havent changed it at all

Well those new AI scripts only work for BW so I don't get how you played it in SC...

But i have played maps in normal starcraft such as turret de stacked and thoses triggers are in it. but if i go to add some terrain it says it can only be saved in brood war.

try saving it as a .scm file and then play it through original

.scm is the normal style and is what it is originaly, but it will only let me save it as .scx

you realize you can change the type of file right? instead of just typing the name when you save, put in .scm at the end (if for some reason this doens't work, use sf and save it as original)

I'm pretty sure those AI Scripts were hidden, and SC X-tra may have registered them as "Brood War Only" when in fact they can be used in regular SC. I suggest trying to use StarForge to get the AI Scripts to work or some other, older editor. Otherwise you're just a crazy idiot who thinks he's played maps he hasn't...

i used starforge to convert it back to sc and it works. However when i use the stacker in the game is there a way to keep the lights on in a certin area like hero area and stacking becon area?
