Here's the deal, I am learning how to mod and have come to understand a little bit better how things work but I am having a couple problems now.

Everytime I open datedit and switch to a different tab (i.e. the weapons tab) it can't seem to find the .tbl files anymore and I haven't moved anything.

Another problem I have is when I am editing the bitmaps in photoshop. I didn't have any problems with it at first but now the program crashes evertime I open up photoshop and try to open the files. sometimes it crashes if I even so much as try to select the file. It is extremely frustratating and if anyone knows anything that might help short of completely reformatting, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I had problems with opening SC Bitmaps in PS too, maybe their format is too old or sth, the only way i found is to walkaround this by opening those Bitmaps In Paint then copying them to PS..

first question as u said that u had fixed so it's pass

Second problem is here are some quick solutions

1. RetroGRP sometimes would might dump out by incorrect format handling
try use GRPeditor in StarDraftSE if that problem keep up
i've never been met that problem when i decompile to bmp with that
and if that ur problem comes up again then try save or copy by other tools and edit with PS
if doesn't works again then try patch up PS or use other version

nirvanajung is so right! Trust me, if you keep using RetroGRP you will get to the point where you wish it would die a long, painful death. Yet, it is a lifeless application and it will never learn to fully appreciate even your best war cries laced in frustration and agony. So you are best to use the GRP Editor in StarDraft SE. As much as it is inconvenient to have to load the files into a CWAD and then extract them again, it will load files edited with Photoshop. Just make sure you save them with the Starcraft palette, so that they look good in game.

Hmm I have never had that problem with DatEdit myself... I'll look into that.
