Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Pirates of the Caribbean which started out as a Trilogy, did very successful in its first movie. However, this isn't the same epic trilogy like Lord of the Rings. Movies like Lord of the Rings there is only one way to tell the story, in the other hand Pirates of the Caribbean seems like it was forced to be stretched out into a trilogy. With its squeal being 2 1/2 hour long, and with the plot getting nowhere this defiantly isn't the movie you were expecting. Not only that, whats up with fairy tale feeling. Even with all those stuff the movie was very good, and is defiantly worth your money, just don't get your hopes to high.

Around a B- is a fine rating for this movie.

I said it was good, but just not good as I thought. Compaired to the first movie, it was worse, but it was still good B- is not bad. Not bad at all.

WHAT!? I loved this movie. Better then the first in my eyes, and without a doubt the best movie I've seen at the theatre this year.

Definitely one of the funnier movies I've seen in a while. A solid B is what I give it.

I saw this movie without watching the first one. I was confused at the end when everyone started cheering. :/

Independently, the movie (without prior knowledge of the first) is quite good. Although there were so obvious continuity errors, it seemed very appealing. I would give it at least a B+ range.

The Kraken was the most impressive piece of CG I've ever seen.

This had some amazing cgi. I thought it was really good but, it was sometimes a little hard to understand what they were doing and why. For instance I did not understand the dice game.

Oh yeah who was that guy at the end of the movie?

rating for me B+ to A-

I want to see this so bad! I have heard that it was very good and I have also heard that it was very bad. I also heard that it has a really bad cliffhanger and that it was only made to make room for a third Pirates of the Carribean!

O, i didn't notice this topic when i posted my great answer in the other "great movies topic". That's ok. This movie was awsome, and the acting got better. they did a good job in getting you excited for #3 and anxious. I would see it, if i were you.

I know it was how they gambled and it was gambling their service years but why were they saying four fives then 7 5s ect.. what were they suposed to guess. O_o

That wasn't so much of a cliffhanger, that's more like "So this is the new adventure that's coming". And by the way the next pirates film is coming out in like January 2007. I thought the movie was ok I couldn't understand what anyone said, and it was a bit of a mush until they actually got to the dead man's chest. And for the entire movie I thought Davy Jones was the bad guy from the first movie but, screwed up. I completely forgot what happened in the first one.

Really its coming out Januray 2007, thats pretty earily seems like they made both movie non-stop like the Lotr serious... Becuase when did the first movie came out? Like two years ago...

A+++++++++++++++ Loved it, best movie ive ever seen. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! I saw it the DAY it came out and im gettin the dvd the day it comes out on DVD.

They pulled a harry potter/matrix, both sequels were made at the same time, that's why they're so close together.
