I broke away from the tried-and-true LT mold here and gave some early game options to the races----

T: take risk of walling in nat or go easy w/ main choke
Z: grab min nat for protection or go for min+gas nat
P: either option works for them

A grand total of 8 expos are available for players to fight over

Ditto. Except I think the main chokes are fine. Although Blue's mineral only minerals should be moved up just a bit. I think unupgraded rines at Red's won't be able to reach the min only. I think this may force Zerg to hat at choke though, because it doesn't look easy to place sunks from the mineral only.

Beautiful map, incorporates plenty of intersting ideas. But as you said in your post, can't T just wall after the min only? That seals off his highground nat, and his min only nat. In either event, very nicely done.

Alright, 1.2 changelog:

-Blue's entrance to nat is now same size as red's
-Red could siege a ramp from 1st nat that blue could not; fixed now
-reworked topleft and bottomright expos
-mineral only nats can now be hit from cliff equally (blues used to be easier to snipe)
-corridors on sides are now of equal width (left used to be skinnier)
-left mineral only expo's building space is now equal to rights
-main choke is now blockable by gateway+zealot
-min only at nat choke are now closer to entrance to nat and main for easier sunkens
-more decoration biggrin.gif

EDIT: T can wall in and secure a lot, but it would be a vulnerable wallin that could be attacked easily from the highground. Plus, then the other player could snatch both min onlys in center if T just sits behind wall.

completely reworked natural choke
mineral onlys in center are now evenly distanced between both bases

tad bit easy to secure the nat and the gas+min expo. every race can easily secure both expos by defending that one bridge.

I think Place of Mists fits the map.

Anyway, nice map. It was really well done, and complex; good for gaming. Except, I think you should add 1 more expo for the two to fight over wink.gif . Then, the gameplay would really skyrocket.

whats the risk of walling in both nats? its way too easy if you ask me...
