I know everyone here is WAITING to play/get a GLIMPS of SC2, but what do you want in it. Personally, I want a 3D graphic engine with REAL looking graphic. Not like what WC3 looked like, because everything looked fake. I want the trigger engine to stay about the same, but maybe put in some nice things like Else, because the new WC3 one is pretty much crap and harder to use that the SC one. I would also like to see units run around while firing weapons or something. Like, a marine wont just stand still and fire, but run around its enemy to try and keep itself from getting hurt. I also would love to see more enemies, but not a whole lot more. Maybe they need to add some more tactics in the game, like a level where a space station is crashing down above your city and every now and then your city gets hurt. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE POISON! That is something I have wanted to do with triggers without healing the person to full health to begin the poison.
Also, the terran should have areas where they don't have to wear suits or something...
I want to see a completely new game with the exact same map editing system, so we can have all of these fun restrictions. I mean, what would be the fun of map-making if the system was easy to use? We need restrictions to give us a challenge.

Yea, but did you see WC3s? It was so complex that I just gave up and turned back to the well structured SC version. I just hate doing about 10000000 triggers just because there isn't a freaking ELSE button!
i want better graphics and the ability to modify the kills!!!!!! more hero units like critters (ursadon thats my sig) would be cool too

•More Units..More Buidings....More SHI†...Brood war only offered a few Special buildings....and a few new units...But no new buildings O_o

Marine has a random chance of attacking allies

SC2 should have a new race; Xel Naga.
The race should only be playable by top ladder players.
And it should be super-powerful. Cuz it's special.
Then people should start hacking cuz only top players get access to it.
Then everyone would buy SC again and play it more than the future-crappy SC2.
I wanna see different graphics (dont matter to me if theyre 2d or 3d). Also want them to expand and finish the story, hopefully with more than just 40+ campaign maps (RE: massive), and perhaps delve into the Xel'Naga and their history and future.
Ingame stuff; new sounds, new mix of units, a new race at least (people are always talking about the xel'naga and the protoss/zerg hybrid), and a even great staredit.

no..this..no...cannot be...no no..done...no....Then we would Have an Ultralisk or a BattleCruiser doing 1 damage....That would suck...

- Real Time Weather Effects as stated above
- Cinematics Generator for our own custom kickass maps
- Level Up (I.E. Marine is a PVT then a PFC then a... you know the drill)
- More Strings
- More Doodads
- Etc... all posts following after mine will display my wants.. and if you disagree.. I don't care unless its Yoshi.. for his ability to wipe me off the face of SEN is all mighty... all hail administrative powers!!
I know that in SC 2 must be five races (+ Xel'Naga & Vanix) and i want them balanced like in first SC. I wanna more units and more buildings. And there must not be a lot of apgrades. Also i have wanted good movies, multiplayer on 12 players (may be more). I have been waiting for SC 2 so long thats why i wanna see it now.
well i want then to put the ability to use variables in triggers so instead of:
player suffers 1 deaths create 1 units
player suffers 2 deaths create 2 units
have:
player suffers x deaths create x units
and also as previously stated detect life or trigger that goes:
subtract 10% health or 20 hp from all units at x
and of corse we should all finally meat, play as, and kill the Xel Naga
All those who think the wc3 editor is bad is confused, ive had this convo before, i know yoshi doesnt like wc3edit
Realsitic 3D gfx, weather, no Xel'Naga, no 4th race, a few hyrbids (not a playable race) and a wc3 style editor!

also, recognizeable units, i mean like a hydralisk doesnt look like wat a lurker did in the first one... units that carry over need to retain thier looks...

I say; have condition variants of all actions.
Such as there's a create unit with properties action, so have a
"Bring Unit with Properties" condition
or the Play Wav
"Action Play X is Triggered"
Along with unit labels.
Like, an action...
"Player brings Atleast 1 any unit to "Apprentice""
"Apply Label: "Apprentice""
Now, if the player brings a unit to "Apprentice", then where it says "Parasite Detected", "Major" etc., it'll say "Apprentice".
Then another trigger
"Player brings unit labeled "Apprentice" to location "Erm?!"
"Display Text "Apprentice: Erm, I don't get this, wtf?""
EDIT: Also, rename the Nuclear Missile "Tactical Targeted Missile" or some such...
a nuke would destroy all units on a 500x500 map, and more, even though that's impossibly large.
In starcraft 2, theres not much i wanna see change....
i think that it would be cool if you could load bombs into dropships and then drop them on enemy bases (THAT WOULD BE PWNAGE!)
i think for zerg there should be another "colony" instead of just sunkens and spores, like one that attacks ground AND air, but doesnt do that much damage, but as a special effect it slows down the unit that its attacking (kind of like cold damage in warcraft 3)
and for protoss corsairs should have another special ability than just disruption web...

Bombs and Acid colony must be in SC 2
Ezday2...What you just posted is your opinion and your opinion is what only matters....Well my opinion is that your opinion sucks

Take a nuclear missile, and detonate it somewhere. Then see if you can travel the distance that the nuke's explosion encompassed in a few minutes, WALKING.
If you can do that, I'll beliee it is opinion.

Okay, that was a bit of a rush through, but here I got. First off, I don't want to see any more races, because it is already complicated enought. I don't want to see the Xel Naga in it, because everyone here wants them to be UBER powerful. It would just be better to leave the game with Protoss, Zerg, and Terran. They should build up on their qualities instead of adding another race.
Second, Loading bombs into dropships would be awsome! I would like to see battlecruisers crash and maybe hurt units below. I think, though, that they will still have to limit air a tiny bit.
Third, SC does need Navy Units! It would add so many tactics to the game, it would be unbelievably FUN!
Fourth, I DON'T WANT A CARTOONISH LOOKING GAME! (See WC3 for Details)
Fifth, I like that idea on variables, but we could live without them.

I think it would be interesting to let unit's see more if they are on higher ground. I did like one thing about WC3, you can let it use people's names instead of having to say Player 1-8. You know, like when someone dies out in a game, it could say their name instead of Player 1-8 or a color. I like seeing that.
