Ok i've been mapping hard-core about 2-3 years straight but I cant seem to make a good enough map 
or I'm not improving much, how many years(months) have you been mapping and how good are your maps? Does anyone know how I can improve?

I'd say I started making maps maybe six months after I got SC, which was four years ago.

half a year, but u cant just learn from urself. u gotta learn from other ppl and how other ppl made/make their maps

i first opened staredit 6 years ago. since i was quite stupid, i wasn't really able to use triggers until 4 1/2 years ago, when i finally discovered what a location was. i found SEN a little more than a year ago. i've been a SEN member for about 10 months. After being on here for a 2-4 months, my map making ability increased exponentially.
in conclusion, i've been mapmaking for about 2 years now. releasing two maps in that time. both of them met with very little success(although my second helms deep map seemed to have inspired a change of terrain to the rectangular stuff we have now - i actually used ISOM in the actual shape of HD). i've been primarily making conceptual maps but i want to get into gaming maps again

1998 homeys. Althought I never quite figured out triggers until a couple years after that. It took a lot of tweaking (Take that how you want it) and making maps to figure out what the triggers did.
From not knowing much and just messing around in 1998 - To knowing all about triggers and being too lazy to really make any map worthwhile in 2004. (Me quit in 2004.)

3 Years! I learned from myself, just playing with triggers making maps and such, If your stuck on something I wouldnt ask anyone just play with it till you figure it out!
