Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Wtf Special Mode 1 Time?!?!

Every time I try to open Special editor, it only works one time per reseting the comp.

Example: I restart my computer. It works. I "x" it, and I try to open it again. It has that mouse pointer with the hourglass, but it turns normal, and it doesn't work... Does anyone know what's wrong?

Edit: Uh... I just found out it after the first use, and "x", ANY editor doesn't work...

Not sure if itll help, but go into Task Manager and find the program (ie sceditorspecial.exe) and end its process. If thats even there.

Hmmm this bugged me for the longest time too. The easiest way to go about doing this is to put a shortcut to Special on your desktop (it's the only one I use). Also when you end the program check down at the bottom right on the Taskbar near the the clock. You might see an SCXE symbol there. Yeah, I just checked. If you open it up with the "Launch Wizard" feature it will still stay on after you close out of X-Tra. Go down the lower-right and click "restore" to open up the launch wizard, run editor to well... run editor, or close to... you get the picture. If you close you can open SCXE again without shutting down Windows. Or you can do that horrible thing and shut down the process manually. Right click the taskbar, click Task Manager, go to processes, and on my screen the process is "SCXE Start.exe." Right click on that and then click End Process. I don't know if I'm insulting your intelligence but I know a lot of people that don't know jack about computers. My apologies are stated if they're needed. As for... holy crap! Open Office takes up 34 MB of RAM. That's like 3x StarCraft's usage... Heh heh. Oh yeah, if a program isn't responding, it can take a long time (or forever) to close out of it. Just go to processes and end it immediately there. And people, should I buy the new GeForce card or the new ATI card? My 'ole GeForce MX-440 (I know it's old!) just can't stay up with Call of Duty and the such.

Never had a problem myself, when i had X-Tra 2.5/2.6 which run off a 128 MB RAM, 8 MB Graphics card, Windows 2000 Pro...

If what don't work is the selector thingy you can go to there using the task bar tray area.
If when you click open a mode it doesnt work, be sure that you closed all staredit-based editors (X-tra modes, esmerald patches and staredit)
