It isn't really starcraft anymore. Starcraft died about 2 years ago.
The map making is what makes starcraft alive and breathing. You'd get sick of the same maps if staredit weren't here
Very true Yoshi, I was thinking in something similar.
The true Starcraft was Ladder competition on B.net, that rarely happens now as the ladder is all hacked, winboted up.
We now don't see much blizzard made maps in meele, they all Money Maps, and that really isn't the way starcraft was meant to be by Blizz.
If Staredit weren't available, Starcraft would've died out a long time ago.
Past Starcraft, Intense Ladder competition times when blizz gave prizes and stuff.
I remember when people would legitly get to 4000 rating, In those times I had 1700 and was ranked like 30 once.
Present Starcraft is basicly a mod. The UMS has use of way more things than in the beggining. We got a new terrain(square), new units and You can get up to 256 players and we got sprites. You can stack, cloack/uncloack everything get infinite food.
Melee dosen't get played as much as it used to, you don't see as much games and I can't seem to find Pro games anymore, The past games I have played in the score bar thing after game I almost always have the most points in Units, Resources and Structures. At least on every money map I play. You got that many resorces I say use them to their full potential not put a few peons to get maximun army.
To me we aren't playing Starcraft Anymore we are playing StarMod that is compatible with b.net.
A meaningfull 250th post!
