I personally think that asking for credit for something you thought up but will never use is useless. If you aren't going to use it, why should other people have to congratulate you. This goes for ideas mainly, because going beyond that is actually doing something with those ideas, and deserves credit because it's more work. (If you think thinking is harder than acting, I'd say most of the time your wrong.) Ideas are ideas, nothing more, without action there will be no fruit from the ideas.

In this sense, ideas are not worthy of rememberance, only actions. One only remembers the idea from the actions it brings forth.

The only unacted upon ideas that should be worth congratulating are ones where you meticolously work out each suposed kink. Only problem is that you might as well have made the idea.

We should actually give credit for making this even possible to do.

Or if you steal the idea. As in, they planned on using the idea, but you took it. That = bad.
