Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Proedit Compression Doesn't Work For Me...

This sucks, a lot. It also looks so cool... Whenever I compress, it "appears" to work, but it screws up like everything. I don't even compress anymore because it kept screwing everything up in my maps. The switches would get messed up and do things in places where without ProEdit's "help" they would work fine. This would happen even when I only removed the comments. Recycling things... oh god... the marine that was once "Archer" is now a Protoss Beacon. Has this happened to anyone else?

I've never used compress before, but do you have sounds in that map.
Some sounds are corrputed and may corrupt or mess up the whole other things in the map.

Nope, no sounds in this map at all...

You only compress your map when you're finished with it.

Duh, of course. I finished the map, used SCM Toolkit for colors, used ProEdit to compress, protect, and save.

What version are you using? 1.4.0 shouldnt mess nothing.

See if you can protect the map using Scmtoolkit.

I have the latest and best (1.4.0). Oh well, so what if I can't use the compression tool? Guess it doesn't matter...

And yeah, why the h3ll would I ever protect with SCM Toolkit?

Protecting on its own doesn't seem to mess with the map, just when I compress it. That unit switching thing was REALLY weird.

*Edit* Oh yeah Clokr, once my friend and I had made a map, protected it with ProEdit, and several times when we froze a unit with an arb the unit was frozen, but it was vulnerable, meaning we could attack it while it was defenseless. I don't know if this was just a bug with ProEdit or StarCraft, but it only happened once, so no biggy. Just thought I'd let y'all know... you know, just in case.

attackable? with stasis field? wow, you should post the map.

Also, I'll release PROEdit 1.4.1 really soon, with a compression a lot easier and some bugs fixed. It might work.
