Does anyone know how to make sizeless sounds? I heard converting mp3 to .wav and then doing some other crap will make the sound sizeless. My sounds are only like around 20-40kb but i still want to convert it...I dont want to make my maps too big.

you can't have sizeless sounds, only sounds from the cds can be sizeless. everything else must be used the regular way

Sizeless only comes with the Starcraft sounds. Custom sounds, like your .mp3>.wavs, wont have that benefit.

??

The only way to reduce the size of the (.wav) sounds is reducing the quality. There's a limit for that, since low quality sounds in a map really suck.

I find it hilarious that so many people believe you can magically transfer data from one computer to another.

Anyways, this is how you make any sound virtually sizeless.
  • Go into the sound file manager and select the sound you wish to be sizeless.
  • Press the Delete button
  • Go to the triggers where your using the sound
  • Delete the play wav trigger.
  • Create this action where the play wav trigger was (Display Text: “Imagine your hearing the sound of a car horn, *HONK*”) or something similar to that, depending on the wav.
Enjoy your sizeless sounds glad to be of help.

To use sizeless sounds from the StarCarft CD, download the program "SC Free Sounds" found in the Downloads section of this site. Read the instructions and then use it.
