Do you need winrar for software programs and other stuff, such as photoshop or gimp, OR anything else? I know you dont need it for downloading maps from SEN.
-Winrar is gay bullcrap because you cant get any free version what so ever, they're all 40 day trials! Rest are $29.00
They still work after the trial.
www.rarlab.com
i got it from there. lol. but what does the trial mean though? whats the point if you can have it forever?
There is no point, I guess. You just have to click cancel every time it asks you to "buy now" =\
o...lol thx what bout photoshop if its a trial? ur still gonna have the 649 dollar program on your computer, whats the point if the trial doesnt remove it?
[sub]Photoshop you will have to pay for after the trial to keep using it.[/sub]
Use 7zip. It's jsut easier.
The GUI is practically the exact same thing... How is it easier, again?
WinRAR"Complete support for RAR and ZIP archives, and unpacking of CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZ, ACE, UUE, BZ2, JAR, ISO, 7z and Z archives."
7-Zip supports a number of other compression(referring to other than 7z.) (and non-compression) archive formats. These supported formats include ZIP, Microsoft cabinet (CAB) files, RAR, ARJ, gzip, bzip2, LHA, tar, cpio, rpm and Debian deb archives. As of version 4.42, 7-Zip also supports ISO CD/DVD images.
Unfortunatly, nobody uses arj gzip bzip2 LHA tar cpio rpm cab lzh gz uue bz2 or jar =\
