I'm to guess this is an analogy for delayed gratification vs. immediate gratification.
Well I'm gonna die eventually, so unless holding out for the better reward is worthwhile (like to accomplish something specific), I'd just say to hell with it (literally) and live it up while it lasts.
But in my case I DO plan to accomplish something, so I'd probably just take the stairs for now.

This poll is stupid how can you choose were your going. Theres no button thats says go here forever or go down here forever. Unless your inplying were you feel that were the person sees themself before death but knowone can choose.
You can do lots of good in your life but if you have done wrong then... the rest is for you to add on.

Well, it may take 10 years to get to heaven, but geuss what? The afterlife is eternal, so is hell, you choose hell, your in hell immediately, forever, but if you choose the stairway, it only takes 10 years of infinite years? Good deal i think.

You have too choices, if by "Heaven" and "Hell" you mean:
Heaven: A place of eternal peace, no pain, no suffereing ect. ect.
Hell: A place of eternal suffering. Your soul being torn apart over and over again.
and the choices are:
A. Spend 10 years of your afterlife climbing stairs. To get to a place of everlasting peace.
B. Spend the rest of eternity in more pain than you'd be in if you were climbing stairs.

Your right except for the bold faced parts, god created us with no hatred/evil emotions, but as soon as adam/eve took the fruit (w/e it was) he cast them out of eden and then they were given those emotions by god, not the devil, the devil has no part in how the world/people were created, nor does he have any power in the world, he merely tempts until we eventually give in and then it leads to where this world is now.
