I never saw the point of sims maps, especially when there are so many that are exactly the same but with different authors. It's the same stuff, live, get a job, whatever, live, buy this buy that.

Might there be anything that's different in this Sims map?

Eh. I've seen something like this. Please be more original. There are tons of different sims maps, 'SIMS NEW, 'SIMS NIGHT OUT', 'SIMZ TOWN', 'Sims:perfection', 'THE BEST SIMS MAP EVER', 'Sims Like RP'..dude seriously, I'm sick of sims map, and making a sims map shows you're lazy enough to actually make something already made, and not be more original to do something better.

I love SIMS maps, but most of em a poorly made and un-proffesional.....
I'm making my own.

That makes me feel like making a sims map, but what's the point? I already have the Sims 2.

You Guys Got Me There With Sims Is Unoriginal

But Come on it is better then the other ones with no triggers at all.

this map took me over 1 week and then 3 days to edit it to this level.

i got the ideal off of warcrafts's own "Real life".

Since sims was a good topic i put that before "Real Life"

the best sims map ive played is one where you have to build your house, buy a bed ( there are good beds and bad) buy a shower, tv for entertainment, order a pizza or cook your own food go read at the library (or buy a bookshelf for your home) and choose a job, eventually you get better titles in your job (actor: from local tv star to movie star etc) and such.

I didnt really like this map, but I might try it with more players, it just seemed abit boring.

My idea of a good Sims map:

The better sims ones are the ones that has an objective that'(s):

1. Plausible (Something that's possible)

2. Provides a challenge (In some sims maps, I make money by standing still, or be able to buy a "brand new car" just by delivering a paper, or play football all day)

3. Fun and engaging (Your job is boring! You don't do anything except "go here" or "buy this", maybe a profession like...daredevil? hunter?)

a. Variety (Delievering paper or serving people aren't fun...)

b. Story line (Maybe you'll grow up and have a family? You'll become bankrupt? You own a large corporation?)

4. Logical (Motels are larger than mansions? Why are my children killing buildings? Why aren't I DEAD if I have no food? WHERE THE HELL AM I?!)

5. Direction (I've seen lots of sims maps with no help whatsoever, and is completely MESSY, you start off with absolutely no idea where everything is, there wasn't any text explaining jobs or locations too!)

My two cents.

I jsut read that, and now I found a source of info to make a sims map good. I think I will make one =P. Anyways, I dunno. i tried this map, and it got boring. Oh, and one funny thing, There is like 100 cars all in a giant mass going down streets. its funny.

This is the problem that I have with people re-making games into Starcraft. If it is a big and popular game then there isn't much of a chance it can fit into Starcraft's limits. If it's not exactly like the original game then people get angry or leave the game. You are better off just buying the Sims than making it.
