Hello, I compressed my wav files but when I open them with windows media player, they dont don. I keep on pressing start, but it automatically stops it. Help.

Use windooze audiorecorder. Open your wav (the one that still plays in media player). Goto settings/convert now/ set to PCM - 8000 kHz; 16 Bit; Mono 15KB/Sek
(maybe it's actually not convert now maybe it's just convert I just translated from german 'jetzt konvertieren' to 'convert now')

press ok

save the file

Now you got a fully compressable (compressable by the editors) file that should also be playing.
