I seem to have a lot of problems finding good wavs online. So, I was wondering where you guys get yours from? List as many good sites as you can think of, since after a while digging through my google search results, all I found was crap.

I have a list at home I can post later, but here's what I do when I want a sound.

Google: bleep wav or sword wav or missile wav

just put what you want for sound and add wav at the end. In the description if it has bleep.wav and blup.wav and bloop.wav, then i'll go to it. But if it says Purchase bleep.wav now! Cheap! I steer clear.

No clue where I got all these sounds, but I have a sound archive I've collected over time for no real reason, but it's useful for Staredit. It's too large to post online, but if you need a sound then e-mail me (StardogProd@Netscape.net) with the description of what you want and I'll see what I can do.

As to where I found these sounds, I just do. I might find one on a random website or find an interesting one in a map and extract it.

A lot of the guys here (myself included) get sounds from FlashKit.

I'd go with with any search engine site. also you can try looking in your other games like Half Life,Alien Vs. Predator (1 and 2),Planetside,EverQuest,StarWars (any of em). ect. and if they are MP3 you have to compress them to .wav i use musicmatch jukebox. the decoder pro in the dl area i hear is good...even though i cant use it,but at least im able to convert mp3 to .wav.

I record mine from roms. Some of the older games have sound tests.

Flashkit is also a really good site to use.
