Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> SCMDraft -> TrigEdit don't work
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Zeratul_101 on 2006-07-30 at 18:50:46
my trigedit doesn't work. i know people have said to just start typin right away and i'm aware of what to type in, but ... the problem is i can't type anything. period.

i've looked through some topics about trigedit and i think i've found my problem.

in an old thread, the last two posts talk about a richedit or w/e error. i get the same one and was wondering if thats why my trigedit doesn't work. if it is, how could i fix it?

Dont fix it, trigedit doesent work yet (to my knowledge)
Use clasic trigg, if that doesnt work download the LATEST version of SCMD

isn't the latest version 0.6.0? i already have that.

wtf do you mean TrigEdit doesn't work, it came out fully functional before Classic TrigEdit did.

NOt really, the tree doesnt work, so its not "fully" functional yet. DW has been either really lazy or working on the mac ver of scmd2 so, dont expect updates soon

What are you talking about? It works fine (barring the treeview).

As for the OP: search your comp for "riched20.dll".

Then your knowledge is lost out there somewhere... rolleyes.gif because it has been widely known of it working fine and for ages now (even before the Classic plug in was a beta).

What the heck? Have been using TrigEdit and it's tree for over a year now (almost two). Just 'cause you like SF better that isn't a reason to missdemeanor SCMDraft 2. It does work, provided you dl'ed it from the source and know what you're doin'.

--------
Zeratul', I don't recall having to install any stuff anywhere else than the SCMdraft 2 folder directory when unpacking it's archive file, but maybe it was done when I've settled up Visual Basic for other related SC apps, like WinMPQ. You should try it and see if it fixes it. ermm.gif

Then simply removing the virus may solve your problem.
QUOTE(rich20.dll Info)
The Rich20.dll file contains the library code for the Microsoft Rich controls used by the Nimda virus. Current RichXX file names are associated with the following versions:
Version 1.0 = Riched32.dll
Version 2.0 = Riched20.dll
Version 3.0 = Riched20.dll The following list describes which versions of Rich Edit are included in which releases Microsoft? Windows?:
Windows XP = Includes Rich Edit 3.0 with a Rich Edit 1.0 emulator.
Windows Me = Includes Rich Edit 1.0 and 3.0.
Windows 2000 = Includes Rich Edit 3.0 with a Rich Edit 1.0 emulator.
Windows NT 4.0 = Includes Rich Edit 1.0 and 2.0.
Windows 98 = Includes Rich Edit 1.0 and 2.0.
Windows 95 = Includes only Rich Edit 1.0. However, Riched20.dll is compatible with Windows 95 and may be installed by an application that requires it. Antivirus software will not delete or remove files unless they contain malicious code, thus the Rich20.dll files will not be removed. If the virus is still present in the directory, then YES the virus will start all over. IF the virus has been cleaned from RAM (system memory) and the hard drive/files are clean, NO the Rich20.dll file will do no damage. Of course, proper administrative duties would include the removal of the Rich20.dll files since the antivirus program will not delete them.

i think i got rid of it, but its not a viral problem, i've always had this problem with TrigEdit(way before my comp freaked up).
