Lets see how Tuxedo-Templar did in his preview shall we?
I'm sorta inbetween "ITS AWESOME!!!" and "It ROCKED, but I didn't learn enough about the RPG." So what are your opinons? Share your thoughts HERE! wink.gif

Not to contradict anyone.. I voted "it's a waste of time making the trailer".

It was great! with all those effects.... but i really don't think the trailer is necessary (because you could just start the whole map, and it when it came out people would still go "WOW" .. plus the trailer didn't tell us anything) . I like it though ^_______^

Again.. I'm not here to contradict anyone.. just posting my thoughts.

I thought it was well done, but I would've like to know more about the RPG.

Excellent trailer. But what does it tell us about the map? Personally, I would have spent that trailer time on the actual map to get it out faster.

I thought it was incredibly cool. Trailers don't necessarily need to give information. A trailer's purpose is to advertise, by exciting the masses. I think his map was great in that regards. Seriously, does it need to give details about the map? I just look at it as a short, cool little movie map. Plus, Tuxedo Templar's goal of the trailer was achieved. Now, when he finally releases his map, he's bound to have a lot of people play it, due to name recognition alone. If I was him, I'd prepare a second, better trailer, and release it a week or so before his final game release. Stir up some last minute excitement, and I guarantee you everyone on b.net plays it at least once.

I suddenly feel bad for voting for "It ROCKED, but..."

Linux is right. It did serve its purpose. And in another forum about A&O I have this huge thing and one part is all the info. i got out from it (last post in it currently)

Well readers, keep up your thoughts and votes! happy.gif

(Hmm maybe i should make a poll of who the heck is dametrinus in the movie?)

lol nah...

I think it was decent, but like mentioned before, i don't get anything bout the plot, just something bout demons appearing in the planet or something and a war about to start.

I hate to break it to you all, or maybe its a sign I've gone WAY overboard with mapping lately where I can do this, but I made that whole trailer in less than 2 days, so by my standards, as far as effort goes, I can really only fairly say it is "decent".

Now I'm glad it's getting all this attention, I'm glad its serving its advertising purposes, etc., but I'm somewhat ambivalent here because as good as things are turning out, I have to remember that I've made maps that have taken many days, weeks, and months compared to this, but none get even the slightest fraction of attention or appreciation that this cheasy little FX parade did in less than a few days after I posted it. I know I hit the nail on the head with how I chose to advertise it and all (not by accident), but it just goes to show that there's nothing sacred, intelligent, or even logical about what people choose to celebrate and appreciate, only one thing: It's all about the chease!

If ever you plan to be successful, remember that rule well!
